Adventure Game Scene of the Day — Wednesday 7 November 2012
As part of the rewards for giving money to Broken Sword 5, I got a free copy of something called In Cold Blood. I’ve never heard of that game (nor, it seems, has AGs), despite its having been made by Revolution.
Has anyone played it? Any opinions? Why does it seem to have flown under everyone’s radar?
It’s not a real adventure, that’s why. I got it for free at GOG.
Now playing: ——-
Recently finished: don’t remember
Up next: Eh…
Looking forward to: Ithaka of the Clouds; The Last Crown; all the kickstarter adventure games I supported
I guess that makes sense. How unadventurey is it?
I got In Cold Blood for PS1 (I think?) - lots of AG elements in it but I got stuck on a stealth scene, got bored & gave up!
How unadventurey is it?
all those Shooting, Ducking ,Jumping , Running and Climbing ....etc,
this is How unadventurous is it...
the puzzles all solved with all those action features with a strange Inventory which is not for objects inventorying but some Fixed (Actions/Commands) controlled by sophisticated communicator for Breaking Codes , Passes and navigation’s satellite ...
I learned a new word today.
Unadventurey.
Hehe, I love it how most gamers think adventure games are boring because there is not enough action, but we adventure gamers are bored by the action bits in games
Just one aspect out of many which makes us unquestionably superior to “them”.
I learned a new word today.
Unadventurey.
me too, and thanks to kuru i guess reviews from later on would consider this word/term as at their review’s verdicts maybe with the good/pros and bad/cons
as it had been an obvious feature (even if would not pass 1%) at most of all modern games…

Well, it’s an absolute rule of the English language that any noun or verb can be turned into an adjective by adding the suffix -y. And then you add un- to get the opposite. It makes a lot of sense, really.
“unadventurey”
Shouldn’t that be “unadventury”???
Could one of the grammar/spelling nazis confirm this???

Nazi Fien will confirm that unadventurey is correct.
Well… sort of, if you know what I mean.

“Unadventury” or “Unadventurey”? Never on my watch, Joss Whedon or no!
“Unadventurous” for all your gramatically correct lack-of-adventure needs!

Then why is it horribly or spiky???
“Unadventury” or “Unadventurey”? Never on my watch, Joss Whedon or no!
*gasp*
How dare you say that about a Whedonism?!

Last time I looked horribly wasn’t an adjective.
And both spiky and spikey are correct.

I find this discussion rather unhorribley!
Duckman: Can you believe it? Five hundred bucks for a parking ticket?
Cornfed Pig: You parked in a handicapped zone.
Duckman: Who cares? Nobody parks there anyway, except for the people who are supposed to park there and, hell, I can outrun them anytime.
