Resident Evil Remake HD Remaster Announced
The environments come alive with detail thanks to resolution upgrades and non-static 3D models.
Post-processing effects like Bloom filters, which were not easy to do at the time of the original release, have been added to make the HD graphics even more realistic. The original game called this technique “video backgrounds.“We recorded the backgrounds themselves as videos to create realism that couldn’t be rendered in real time with the technology of the time.
We’ve also added high-definition sound and a new control scheme.
Controls
You can play using the original control scheme or an alternate control scheme that lets you just push the analog stick to move in the direction you want to go.
You can switch the control scheme during gameplay in real time.
Genre: Survival horror
Resolution: 1080p
Frame Rate: 30 FPS
Audio: 5.1ch
PS3/4, X360, X1, PC

Something is wrong, too good to be true coming from Capcom.
If they have the assets to remaster like this , i would love some Onimusha 1/2
Remaster too.
More screens, that detail
That’s a good looking Jill Sandwich.
Gamecube version still looks amazing, doens’t even need a lot of upgrade.
Hope they don’t mess with the gameply to make it easier.
So is this a remake of the remake or a remake of the remake of the remake?
An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.
Roberta Williams
It’s a remake of the original using the assets of the GC remake.
I think…*head explodes*
Recently completed: Game of Thrones (decent), Tales from the borderlands (great!), Life is Strange (great!), Stasis (good), Annas Quest (great!); Broken Age (poor)

Indeed it does
Art direction was sick and extremely detailed, same art guy working on Evilwithin.
There are old controls as well, you can switch on fly.
Price is just 30$, remake or not there are plenty of gamers who have missed the game, now PC and old/currentgen gamers can play this classic without hunting GC or PC emulator.
Moreover, Capcom is also testing the waters for (highly demanded) RE2 remake in the same style.
Edit:
Shit some posted Dolphin REmake vs Remaster comparison,
Difference is huge, wonder doublefine can do even half of it with GF.
I thought they were just upgrading the resolution of assets.
Looking at those screenshots, there’s still something really unnerving that gives you a sense of vulnerability about the fixed camera angle.

That was intentional and glad they went with this, the game was initially planned to first person like Doom with Sweethome theme(capcom’s nes game).
Entering new areas and listening to the sounds of Hunters and Crimson heads, while
unaware of their locations thanks to fixed camera angle was huge part of wtf moments.
Game now has widescreen support too, so camera will move a bit like RE0,
