https://lorenzob.itch.io/clotilde2 i still need to play this one. not sure, but it looks fun. i think this screenshot is incredibly good:
Clotilde Soffritti series has some super funny things in it.
Some of them can even be easy to miss if you don’t pay enough attention. Like this screenshot from the first game in the series:
Do you guys notice?
Some places may have unisex toilets, but this spaceship has unispecies toilet as indicated by the sign on the door!
i noticed a couple of little cartoon jokes in the other screenshot as well - reminds me of Belgian comics.
https://lorenzob.itch.io/where-did-the-humans-go also has a sharp comic book style, but it looks more like a combination of 50s North American comics (Buck Rogers) with some Japanese/anime character design?
there are also a couple of very (lets go with) classic AGS type games with a real focus on puzzle design and clever, punchy writing - stuff that really makes for a good, concise adventure, without pushing any envelopes.

positively surprised by the puzzles, they’re fun, situational and just on the right side of moon logic to keep you puzzled.
edit:
https://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/games/game/2620-flash-mccoy/ - really like this developer, quite short, though.
https://gugames.itch.io/where-wolf - comedy game, not really my cup of tea, but it’s pretty good, about half an hour long, classic pointing and clicking, you know the deal.
https://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/site/games/game/2632-the-stinker/ - same as the above i think.
final spotlight:

for it’s incredible and unique visual art. short, easy, but definitely a gem.
Thanks VP for mentioning so many interesting games. I played through most all the AGS games listed. The Clotilde series is great lots of humor and nice graphics. Looking at Karambola right now
my pleasure!
i tried to find the “krenten in de pap” - might’ve failed to put one or two worthy contenders in the spotlight, hopefully these suggestions will help with deciding your votes in the appropriate thread!
i tried to find the “krenten in de pap”
For the non-Dutchies: literally “currants from the porridge”, figuratively “cream of the crop”.
The truth can’t hurt you, it’s just like the dark: it scares you witless but in time you see things clear and stark. - Elvis Costello
Maybe this time I can be strong, but since I know who I am, I’m probably wrong. Maybe this time I can go far, but thinking about where I’ve been ain’t helping me start. - Michael Kiwanuka
About half an hour of solving little (environmental) puzzles, socializing with animals and delivering mail.
Socrates Jones: Pro Philosopher
A re-release of a Kongregate classic, on steam - perhaps not new, but newly available and very worth playing if you like Ace Attorney, philosophy and debate, free games and clicking on things!
The Secret Life of Dorian Pink
The classic tale of Dorian Gray, but funnier and 35% more gay.
oh no it’s so retro! a COMMODORE 64 take on Lovecraft, multiple endings and the music goes.
