Adventure Game Scene of the Day - Wednesday 21 December 2016
No! That’s not Santa incognito about to climb out of a sleigh in this weeks’ seasonal & also topical cut scene from 1st person perspective game AGON: Episode 2 - Adventures in Lapland, a place where apparently winter lasts for 7 months.
The man is British historian Professor Samuel Hunt on a quest to track down the 1st of 12 mysterious board games scattered throughout the world but sadly after the 4th episode the developers did not go on to make the intended 14 that were originally planned.
but sadly after the 3rd episode the developers did not go on to make the intended 14 that were originally planned.
There is a 4th episode: Lost Sword of Toledo.
I wonder what happened with Private Moon Studios. They put out a Hungarian-only sequel to Yoomurjak’s Ring last year, so there’s still hope they will continue AGON.

Thanks Oscar, for some reason I didn’t relate Lost Sword of Toledo to being the 4th Agon episode although I did play it! I’ve gone back & edited my 1st post.
Does the sequel to Yoomurjak’s Ring have English subtitles as with the original do you know?
I had to turn up the heat when I played this episode. The only time I felt colder when playing a game was in the beginning of Morpheus.
I don’t really rise and shine. I caffeinate and hope for the best.

No. Here’s the info:
MIAZMA or the Devil’s Stone is the second installment of Jonathan Hunt Adventures, after award-winning PC interactive movie Yoomurjak’s Ring. The game’s extended storyline was also published as a novel, co-authored by MIAZMA game designer Pierrot and Endre Gábor.
After solving the mystery of Yoomurjak’s ring, Jonathan Hunt, the American journalist decides to settle down in Hungary. His previous adventures have earned him reputation as a successful investigator in highly sensitive cases. This time he is approached by a nuclear research institute to throw light upon a disappearance, but the quest becomes a hunt for a most peculiar meteorite that fell on earth centuries ago.
Miazma was published with the support of the Institute for Nuclear Research of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (Atomki). Currently both the game and the book are available in Hungarian.
Sounds intriguing. Sure hope they eventually provide English subtitles!
