Just now, I was browsing the forums and got redirected to this interesting page.

To be honest, I don’t feel safe browsing Adventure Gamers any more. Constantly getting redirected to suspicious sites not to mention the ominous malware warnings. I know with certainty that you guys are reputable, so don’t hold it against you in the slightest—just not sure I want to risk it.
Right or wrong, weak or strong.

yep, new one for me too. Detected by Avast and now blocked manually in Adblock plus so i don’t get warnings every time i go to the site.
any of you getting redirected to other sites, perhaps you should re-evaluate your AV product.
edit: another one

yes , i had the same (i guess the worm had already gotten its way into my sys)
all i did was to delete me browser 1st,.. run my Avast and scan thoroughly, and then reinstall the browser .
that fixed up that whole issue (for me)

Really sorry about this guys. We’re going through everything to find the source of these attacks.
The engine we’re using for the site has also been used for some pretty high profile sites (the Obama campaign site comes to mind) though as is clear right now that doesn’t guarantee complete security.
Of course, the last thing we want is to be blacklisted or avoided. Again, really sorry about this.

Clearly adventure games are way more controversial than Barak Obama.

FYI - I am using Kaspersky for PC security and I haven’t gotten any flags about this being Malware.

I sympathize, man. Yesterday I went to make breakfast and left the site open in the background. Lots of unseemly content on the screen when I came back.

I’m using Microsoft Security Essentials and I’ve had no problems with the site doing that.
