Now playing…
I thought it was time to revive one of the threads from the old forums again.
Like before: just music, please!
I watched the film “Fallen” again with the missus last night. I’ve been singing Time Is on My Side by the Rolling Stones pretty much non-stop since…
...and so has she…
The truth can’t hurt you, it’s just like the dark: it scares you witless but in time you see things clear and stark. - Elvis Costello
Maybe this time I can be strong, but since I know who I am, I’m probably wrong. Maybe this time I can go far, but thinking about where I’ve been ain’t helping me start. - Michael Kiwanuka
Elliott Smith - ‘Alameda’
Listening to lots of his work today, seeing as it would have been his 43rd birthday today…
I’m listening to Steve Vai’s Passion and Warfare album for the first time in years. Still sounds good.
Lee Edward McIlmoyle,
Probably NOT the kind of guy you think he is.
Zbigniew Preisner - Silence, Night & Dreams
From the album with the same name. Absolutely beautiful music, simply astonishing. One of those that’s just a whole other world on its own… I’m always left breathless after listening it through.
Dio - Holy Diver (the album)
Iron Maiden - Dance of Death (the album)
Iron Maiden - Brave New World (the album)

Shpongle - Invisible Man in a Fluorescent Suit
Spiwak first introduced me to Shpongle here on AGS about six years ago. I kinda miss him, does anybody know anything about his disappearance?

that best thing he ever gave as a solo Project Plus his Impact over White Snake’s Slip of Tongue in Unforgettable .. but more than those i find him too whacky.
I am still Listening to Queensryche Dedicate to Chaos for the Sixth month in Row
Nelly Furtado feat. Chris Martin - All Good Things
When I first heard it, I was a bit surprised that Loose is really quite a good album. I mean, I expected it to be at least OK, but it was very much a pleasant surprise…
I’m listening to Shiny Dark Bar by my buddy James William Roy, aka The James Rocket.
Lee Edward McIlmoyle,
Probably NOT the kind of guy you think he is.
I’ve been listening to different versions of the songs Elvis sang
Hound Dog for example was originally sang by Willie Mae Thornton, and I think it has much more emotions, though Elvis’ version is great too.
Hound Dog - Big Mama Thornton
You made me feel so blue
You made me weep and moan
You made me feel so blue
Well you made me weep and moan
‘Cause you ain’t looking for a woman
All you’re lookin’ for is a home
You ain’t nothing but a hound dog
Been snoopin’ ‘round the door
You ain’t nothing but a hound dog
Been snoopin’ ‘round my door
You can wag your tail
But I ain’t gonna feed you no more
And this version of Elvis’ Don’t Be Cruel is making me quite sad too.
Don’t Be Cruel - Billy Swan
Don’t be cruel to a heart that’s true
Baby, if I made you mad
For something that I might have said
Please, let’s forget the past
For our future looks bright ahead
Don’t be cruel to a heart that’s true
Don’t want no other love
Baby, it’s just you I’m thinkin’ of
Everything you need to know about me has already been told.
After the missus hijacked my car’s radio and had me listening to a poppy radio station, I got my Paradise Lost collection out again.
Currently listening to “Symbol of Life”, which is my favourite album of theirs.
I’ve restarted the opening track Isolate several times already…
Which reminds me: they had a new album out this year (Tragic Idol). I still need to get it.

One of my favourite bands:
Hurts - Better Than Love
Everything you need to know about me has already been told.
Yumeji’s Theme (from In the Mood for Love) by Shigeru Umebayashi
Such an amazing song, amazing soundtrack and beyond amazing movie.
Well, if no one else is listening to any music, I might as well double post
Emiliana Torrini - If You Go Away
A more unknown, yet the most gorgeous version of a beautiful old (French) song (Ne Me Quitte Pas). Thank you Gollum’s Song for introducing me to Emiliana’s incredible, raspy voice Even if she usually doesn’t use it in such a hauntingly beautiful way…
Department of Eagles - ‘In Ear Park’
If you want 2 hours spent in a magical Knopflerland -
