Adventure Game Scene of the Day — Sunday 29 July 2012
I haven’t played a lot of freeware games, but Frasse and the Peas of Kejick (made by our very own Trumgottist) has long been one of my favourites. Not only does it have two cute heroes, it manages to take one of adventure gaming’s ugliest tropes, mazes, and to turn it into a fantastically clever puzzle.
I played this game so long ago. I remember it having some very clever puzzles, and a couple of unfair ones (like the Tetris one).
I really should play the remake sometime.
What ever happened to the sequel?
An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.

a couple of unfair ones (like the Tetris one).
Oh yeah, that one was ridiculous.
I had a great time playing it, and the Tetris one just made me laugh.
I don’t really rise and shine. I caffeinate and hope for the best.
My younger cousin and I both played this game years ago and he solved the Tetris puzzle and the colour maze before me! Frasse is still installed on my old PC upstairs, maybe I’ll replay it one of these days.)
