Most Anticipated Non-Adventures of 2013?
I was wondering what non-adventure games people are most looking forward to for the rest of this year. While I’m still basking in my Tomb Raider afterglow, I would say the ones I’m most excited about are:
GTA V
The Last of Us
Remember Me
(?)Watch Dogs
Way up there also is Beyond: Two Souls, but I guess I’ll consider it in the “adventure” category for now.
What others are on people’s radars?
The LastofUs, finally some AAA horror and Narrative powerhouse, my most wanted game.
Zwei, Shinji Mikami Next Horror, published by Bethesda.
Beyond, it will have soul and emotions if not anything else.
BioInfinite for Story and World.
Metro LastLight, original one is something i liked more than Halfllife.
Killer Is Dead, Suda51 next stylish combo of Killer7 and NMH.
Wonderful 101, gameplay and aesthetics looks cool as hell, but dont have WiiU yet
Of the ones that have been announced.
Bioshock Infinite
GTA V
The Last of Us
Watch Dogs
Batman 3 - Whatever it will be called.
Beyond Two Souls - Although this is probably part adventure
South Park Stick of Truth
Remember Me
There is probably a lot more to come once E3 rolls around and the PS3 Xbox Infinity launch line ups are fulled revealed.
Th4if
Infamous Second Son
An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.
Roberta Williams
The Last of Us - hopefully better puzzles than in Uncharted 2
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII - I’m a little skeptical because of the other two “XIII” games, but miss the series.
Killer is Dead - loved the few hours I put into Killer7.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag - haven’t played the other games, so the series is still fresh to me. The ship and “sim” aspects sounds interesting, too.
Watch Dogs - I’m a bit skeptical it will just be GTA with smartphones, but the concept seems interesting.
Dead State - lead on this game is Brian Mitsoda of Troika and Obsidian fame. Nice shelter concept.
Remember Me - mmmm, cyberpunk.
Iconoclasts - Interesting, and quite good-looking, side-scrolling action-adventure/“metroidvania”.
As usual, I’ll probably end up playing only 2 or 3 of those
EDIT: Adjusted the Iconoclasts description - just remembered, while most of the art design looks good, a few elements doesn’t appeal to me as much.
Of the ones that have been announced.
Bioshock Infinite
GTA V
The Last of Us
Watch Dogs
Batman 3 - Whatever it will be called.
Beyond Two Souls - Although this is probably part adventure
South Park Stick of Truth
Remember Me
I had forgotten or didn’t realize that Batman 3 is probably coming out this year. Rumors say it is likely next-gen. Thank God for PC’s so I don’t have to run out and buy a PS4. Anyway, a new Batman would instantly jump to the top of my list.
Bioshock Infinite - Next week!
The Last of Us
South Park - Hurry up with the release date Ubisoft!
GTA V - New GTA! Too bad there is now PC version day one…
Watch Dogs - Ubi new IP, should be cool
The Killer is Dead - I think I liked all Grasshopper games
Assassins Creed IV - Pirate game is what I wanted in the series now
The new Mario RPG, new Etrian Odyssey, Shin Megami Tensei and Donkey Kong on the 3DS.
Tearaway
Some kickstarter RPGs but I don’t know if we’ll see them this year.
And Last Guardian…..
Some kickstarter RPGs but I don’t know if we’ll see them this year.
^ This.
And Dragon Age III.
The truth can’t hurt you, it’s just like the dark: it scares you witless but in time you see things clear and stark. - Elvis Costello
Maybe this time I can be strong, but since I know who I am, I’m probably wrong. Maybe this time I can go far, but thinking about where I’ve been ain’t helping me start. - Michael Kiwanuka
