Diablo 3 console version tomorrow, are you in?
I just didn’t quite get the experience I wanted with the PC version, so I’m gonna give the ps3 version a spin. I’m looking forward to it, I like the adjustments made, and it might not look as pretty as I made it on PC but I feel it’ll be a more complete experience.
I’m kinda excited actually. I also plan to get the ps4 version down the road but I think this will be decent.
I’m skipping the PS3 version in favor of the PS4 version. Never got around to playing it on the PC, I don’t know why. For some reason I’m not into the more hardcore games on PC any longer and prefer to play as many games as possible on the TV.
I’ve never really understood the appeal of Diablo. the first one was fun for what it was, but D2 was terribly boring mouse clicking simulator. With collectibles.

Long HDMI cable can solve all that
I have my PC setup, just built a new beastly machine but I can run it to my 82” HD set, its pretty glorious.
The ps4 version will rock no doubt.
Not at all interested in hooking up my PC to the TV. In general PC’s are just too much effort, I like the simplicity of consoles just working without any hassle what-so-ever.

It in all honesty really isn’t a hassle, but I hear ya. I love both pretty much!

It kinda depends, With a console you are always going to be able to just stick the game in and play it. Pc’s can randomly take tantrums for seemingly no reason at all.
Also in the case of Diablo 3 the PC version doesn’t have Controller support.
I got the PC version of D3 back when it came out so I doubt I would be getting any of the console versions any time soon, unless your characters from the pc version can be transferred to the console versions.
Honestly I haven’t had true PC issues since man, I’d say the late 90s with those games. There always seemed to be an issue with sound or some crap. But PC gaming for me the last 10 years or so has been solid as it gets, specially with steam. But I understand those who just don’t.
But I simply didn’t put much time into my PC version of D3 because it was so laggy and the loot sucked and it was just lame. But it seems they ironed out a good bit of stuff on ps3, so I’m looking forward to it.
Local 4 player co-op sounds like the amazing feature of this release. 10 years ago I would be all over this. I played a ton of Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance with friends.
But now, I’ll stick with the PC version…
Didn’t bother myself with PC version but have been playing D3 on 360 since 2 days,
at the end of Act1, and really enjoying it with Barbarian class.
Dodge button is gamechanger and the hacknslash just feels right with joypad.
After SkeletonKing ,game really becomes addictive. The texture quality
seems a bit low but the framerate is high, they have also adjusted camera
really efficiently that you see everything and big characters on big screen
is perfect for this game.
Yes as wiico said, reminded me good ol days of Darkalliance
and
I loved those and infact finished Diablo1 on console too, so its like best
way to play for me.
I think D3 will keep me busy this month and will start GTA5 late even though i will get my hands on GTA5 copy 1 week early, like most of the games.
How are the graphics Nomad? They look pretty decent on the console?
Yea, CoN was awesome…one of my favs last gen.

Well frankly looks ps2 HD game, but serviceable, having lots of fun with
dope gameplay to overlook graphics shortcoming, but Blizzard games are hardly
a looker or Tech heavy anyway. Framerate is solid on 360 , some screen tearing.
The skill use with cooldown timer, flood of enemies and evasion requires
as much hand reflexes as DMC(almost as fast), with melee barbarian.
Skills can change the encounters drastically.
My only complaints so far are
-Some enemies hitbox like spear projectiles from Goatmen are odd, they hit
even you evade them from distance.
-You get other classes loot which was promised not be the case in preview by
Blizzard.
If you want more detailed look on console graphics

Yea I picked my copy up…definitely a graphics hit. I run most games maxed on a 1440p monitor and they look insane, so it takes a bit graphics hit. But im ok with it as I think it is just plain good ol diablo fun. Ive never been a major graphics whore so to speak to where I wont play a game due to graphics, so for me its ok that it isn’t looking the greatest.
But yea…I like it so far, its pretty sweet.
Finished with Barbrian class, at level 30, amazing old school fun. I dont know
what made the game so infamous on PC, but loved everything about the console
version. Controls are super responsive and in later stages the amount of
hordes and special skills dont slowdown the action, it becomes crazy like Dynastywarriors at times, which is awesome. Barbarian skills are great to wipe
out crowds. Gets real tough in the end but fun , immediately started with
Monk class and its just shows the depth of fun.
10/10
