Actually it isn't my Xbox, it's my niece and nephew's. I just have unlimited access to it, and with Fable coming in October and my niece and nephew's love of watching me play games, well.....it's sooooo deliciously EVIL!! I know exactly how I want my hero to be.

Do you think that this game will ever make the PC like Halo did?

That's how I actually started the thread coz I didn't like MS (for my own personal reasons) but was feeling a little jealous seeing Fable coming out. But After I bought the PS2 I was pleasantly surprised. Almost every game on the XBOX has a PS2 or a PC version which is awesome

I have no idea. We may have to wait until after the game's release to see how it does on the console. If it's successful they could consider a port. Up in the air until then.

fable will end up on PC because
1) it will sell like crazy
2) more money is to be made
3) it aint gonna be on PS2 or Gamecube that this money is to be made
...much like with Halo

to originial thread starter: most PS2 games have an Xbox version so it works both ways...the reason i got an xbox over PS2 in the first place came down to wanting to play morrowind, project ego (fable's previous moniker), and halo over wanting to play final fantasy and GTA (which ended up on XBox) - my most wanted games for the two systems...so for me anyway it was a good decision...i can live without FF and chocobos

I've thought about it, and realized that there really are very few PS2 games I wanted. I don't care at all for the FF series (too....I dunno, Japanes-ey cutsie? for my taste, plus I hate turn based combat), etc. The only game I wanted was ICO, and I bought it and got to play it on both my friend's daughter's PS2 and my niece's PS2 - sadly I didn't get to finish it because my nephew took the console off with him to college. However, the other titles - Silent Hill 2 and GTA3 - ended up on PC anyway, so I got them.

Doesn't matter if Fable makes it to PC, I still want it for Xbox because I'll be able to play it in a more familial setup, with my niece and nephew watching. I think I'll have more fun with it that way.

You might want to grab a drink, relax, and watch this 40 minute show-&-tell with Peter Molyneux and his staff about Fable. Should answer you question as to why certain things had to be cut out of the game. Yes, it's long, but it does give you some insight into their ideas.

Why doesn't anyone get all three consoles. Trust me. It's worth the money.

I cannot stand Molyneux. He makes good games, but he whores them out all the freakin' time and he always has cutsie story about how he went into the gameing industry. He thinks he's a damn god.

trust me i cant afford it (purchasing all systems) unless i take to pirating games, but for some reason im ethical on this point...maybe cos i dont wanna see video games go down the shitter...about fable...i have read the explanations before about why certain things could not be done due to time constraints and all...well...it isnt going to make the game worse to be without these features...better not there than done poorly, eh?...but it just makes my mouth water already for fable 2 most likely with multiplayer, horses, swimming, children, female character choice, and much more...yeah...id better wait and be blown away by the first fable before starting another waiting game though

Trust me, I'm penniless. Plus, you'd have to spend money on the games themselves once you have all three boxes, and console games take much longer to go on sale than PC games. And then I'll have less money for actual PC games thereafter, anyhow. Besides, there are way too few titles per console for me to justify getting all three consoles.

Wasn't it John Carmack who stated that stories in games are like stories in porn movies, you expect them to be there but they're not that important? And he's seen as a god, too. If I had a choice I'd rather be locked in a room for 2 hours with Molyneux than Carmack.

maybe my angst towards mr. wright is centered around the fact that i look like his identical twin and this makes me sad
