I'd love to see a GTA V: Paris 17th Century. Mmmm, highjacking the coaches of noblemen, duels with swords, high speed chases on horseback, silk and brocade costume changes, making out with courtesans then beating them up and taking their money..........

That's the best idea I've heard in ages. I now have an urge to pull the Megadrive out of the closet and play Shadowrun again.

I know there's plenty of seemingly good ideas, but I don't think a GTA like game would work well without a plethora of different kinds of vehicles. A western GTA sounds like a good idea until you think about the complete lack of variation. Instead of police chases you have a band of horsemen riding after you, but they can't crash the horses can you? And how many different horses can you steal? It would have to have emphasis on story rather than sandbox gameplay. There's a limit to what you can do in the old west.

Oxymoron? A spooked up Victorian London would also be ace, perhaps with some kind of really creepy Ripper backstory, er, interfering.

Hopefully they'll stick to that date. One of my most anticipated titles this year.
