Dude....

When it started up I was thinking it was going to be that same trailer that came out a while ago back when it was called Aftermath. But yea, that looks pretty sweet. Has Valve said anything about a release date and/or pricetag?

Not sure about the release date, but soon-ish. I think each episode is going to cost around $20 for about 6 hours of gameplay (not sure about that either, so don't quote me on that).

6 hours of gameplay isn't too bad. I'd pay $20 for that.

Seems like I spent a lot less time than that on Scratches, anyway

Yeah it's pretty much thesame price as a budget/short game, but then again it's an "AAA" game episode, so it's worth it I guess, especially after seeing that trailer, *wow*.

SiN, on the other hand, doesn't interest me. The first game didn't either. It seems too generic.

I'm waiting for some reviews before I make my decision on SiN, but I tend to agree with you, atleast judging from the gameplay footage we've seen so far. Plus there's enough good games coming this year already. Still, I'm going to preload it, just in case

The premise sounds awesome Naveed, and judging from the trailer it's going to be a lot more hectic than HL2, that moment when Alyx says something about "Stalkers" was like a frickin sci-fi horror movie.

not being funny but valve are really conning us with these half life games. the second half life took me a day to complete on hard, i ran through the whole thing. i haven't touched it since, and no matter how good a 'cheap-thrill' this next one may be, how many more bloody episodes will they realease untill we realise 'maybe they should have released them all as one game'. then there will be the box set of all ten episodes special discount price of £100 and etc. just die valve, we don't like you.

I'm really looking forward to the game, but that trailer actually didn't do much for me. The giant hand was pretty cool, though.

Well, tell that to the thousands of people who love and adore Half Life & Valve. Took me much longer than one day, I also played on hard, and I replayed this game about 7 or so times, and every time I replayed it I loved it and got thrills. - Not to mention all the mods I played for that game. And I really want to know what happends after HL2, so yeah, I'll be getting all these episodes & Half Life 3.

Well, that's the problem there. Take your time, look at things, it affects what people will say to you iirc.

You really only have yourself to blame for it taking it day, it seems like you played it with getting it finished as quickly as possible in mind.

Where did you get the idea that many people feel this way? I think the only people that didn't like HL2 are you and avatar_58. As for episodic releases, I don't know yet if I'll like it but seeing as how I loved HL2 so much I'm definitely willing to give it a chance.

There's no real reason to hate Valve: they're not a gigantic mega-publisher that exploits us or their developing companies or anything. They're a developer with a strogn franchise and are very good about business (what a brilliant idea Steam is--automatic updating, downloadable games straight from Valve instead of through a publisher, etc). Valve is one of those companies that I feel good knowing they're succeeding so incredibly. Wal-Mart isn't.

I also thought it was a giant hand at first, but it looks more like an organic craft of some sort taking off.
