He's not appealing. Not even here. Don't let some unique cases where people claim to like his music fool you. He's not popular unless he's wearing a black leather jacket and rides in a speaking car named KITT.

The Oblivion theme tune. Which shares so much in common with the Pirates of the Caribbean theme that it's almost plagiarism...

Maison des Lunes by the American Cast of the "Beauty and the Beast" musical. Absolutely priceless.

Hans Christian Andersen - (Ariane) The Little Mermaid. I felt like listening to some of my old Audio Cassettes again. I love this story.

When I was a kid, I always had some kind of cassette playing in the background. Be it "Bibi Blocksberg"/"Bibi und Tina" (I had many of those, including a first edition of the very first episode. You can tell from looking at the box, that it's old and much used.), "Benjamin Blümchen" (I don't have as many of those), ALF, Enid Blyton (I know I had two "Famous Five" cassettes, one "Tina und Tini" [no idea what the english name is], two of the St Clare's stories, and "The Mountain of Adventure"), Fairy tales, Barbie (I still remember that this one had been labelled incorrectly. The 'A' side was on the 'B' side and vice versa. The story was even quite good.), "The Three Investigators" (called "Die Drei Fragezeichen" in german. Literally "The Three Question Marks", though usually written as "Die Drei ???"), and "Die Funk Füchse" (to be exact, "Die Funk Füchse - Unternehmen Nachtschatten").

I listened to those tapes again and again, and if I try, I can still quote anything from them, exact to the last letter.

Those were the times...

My daughter loved Snow White when she was 3-ish. I read that book so many times we both ended up knowing it almost by heart. At bedtime I sometimes tried to skip a page once in a while, when I thought that she had fallen asleep, which always resulted in a "would-be-wise" correction.

Those were the times....
