Snowing at last!!!
Well, I am dead pleased today as for once in this city (York) we have actually had some decent snow for the first time in years. Although, it looks like global warming will see to it that we probably dont get it again...
Is it me or does anyone else agree that, like sunshine, snow makes you feel happy? I couldn't help but smirk to myself whilst walking past the traffic this morning and how it was slowed down to a crawl by a couple of inches of snow - the world seems like a nicer place when there is snow about; pace of life just slooooowwwws down So, heres a nice picture (of many) I took this morning next to the River Ouse.

Yeah, snow is great.
Even though I do have a car, and I have to ride with my bike through piles of snow when I'm delivering mail every day.

Bloody sun has come out now and it's melting already
I dont want sun, I want big grey clouds that are full of snow - it really mellows me out. Heres one of York Minster: this is beautiful to behold at the best of times, but I have never seen it in the snow - really magical Shame I cant U/L the images in better quality, seeing as thel limit is so small

Yeah, I love snow. I've missed it a lot since I left the UK about 12 years ago. Still guess I shouldn't complain about the weather. It is pretty damn good here .

Snow rules! Like today for instance we had a bright and sunny day with lots of snow. The way the snow reflects the sun and everything is so white and fresh-looking. I'm telling you, it's magical!

God bless the bay area. Land of rain and no snow. I hate snow especially if you have to shovel it off your car. How magical is that

The third one on the other hand... The army is treating me great is the answer. I got B papers which mean that I don't have to do the shitty and hard stuff (Kolzig or Wormsie, who have more time than me on their hands right now can probably explain it better). I became a "skrivare" (I believe it is "kirjuri" in Finnish) which directly translates as "writer", but it's more or less a secretary who serves as a link between the officers and the recruits. It's a quite easy job where you mostly sit in front of a PC, so it suits me just fine. 8-) BUT, now I'm off back to the army again. Take care and I'll see you again soon. |

Damn you Mattsie, you're getting through army too easily...
Your job as "kirjuri" is most likely the easiest job there is in finnish army. I don't know if I've told this before, but I also got B papers back then, but because of some odd reason I still had to do all the shitty and hard stuff... And to tell something about the B papers. Normally finnish guys in army get A papers after all the medical tests etc., but in cases like when you can 't see very well, or if you got a operated knee etc., then you get B papers from an army doctor. For example in my case, I'm "almost as blind as a bat", and they didn't realize this at first, so they gave me A papers, but when I came to the army, my eyesight was re-examined and then they saw that I couldn't see very well so they gave me B papers.

If that isn't an issue with the site you linked, so much the better! Anyway, you can never be too careful with such things on the internet, I think, but maybe I'm a chicken... |

Snow is great. We've had loads in Munich in the last month. Here's a couple of nice big snowy pictures especially for you, Elton and Deadworm. These were taken yesterday in Westpark, Munich. I've kept them the original size just in case anyone has a use for them, so sorry to anyone on slow connections.
And here's one especially for those with an icicle fetish. I almost feel ready for Spring now though.
