"I'm about to go out with some friends... you're welcome to come. They're all friends of Dorothy. You are a friend of Dorothy, aren't you?"
"...yeah, I guess I am." "We're going to have to teach you to smile when you say that." |

A search for a crazy man!

Whoops, somehow managed not to find this thread for several days. Congrats, deadworm. I can't even imagine how difficult and relieving that whole episode must have been.

Deadworm, you get much respect from me for taking that step. I am glad everything went well.
What surprises me is how supportive everyone here on the forums is. I have been to so many forums where people for whatever reason just cannot treat each other with respect. So, contrats Deadworm! To everyone else who replied to this thread, you guys rock

"Thanks" is starting to sound really vague. I have to think of some other way to thank you all. Maybe I'll dedicate my first symphony to you, collectively.

Either way, I haven't expressed my congrats yet, so I'll do that. BOOM BABY! Good work there, lad. I have to say that I have to echo mag's thoughts that I'm not close to any homosexual people. That being said, it's awesome to be apart of such a warm community of a lot of persuasions, countries, opinions, etc. Great stuff. Adventuregamers has formed a miniature model community. So, a big, sloppy agapic kiss for all of you! |

Don't want to sound shallow/repetitive, but congratulations, deadworm. I hardly imagine my family positively reacting to such an "opening". We have still way to go as nation here in Poland, I guess (note that I'm not gay, I just would prefer to live in a more open society).

A friend of mine also had his first come out with his sister, that was several years ago. I mean a 'real' come out, the first person to know about it was me but it wasn't a real come out since I always suspected it. Right now I think he's had like 8/9 come outs to friends, uncles, parents, etc... I wonder if he's starting to like it or what.
Anyway the first time is always the hardest, so way to go wormsie!

The easiest way to come out is to get a boyfriend and drag him along. That's what I'm planning to do.
A fake boyfriend would do, though... |
