NBA Playoffs
They may not have officially started, but the playoff picture is pretty clear now. Who are you going for?
Well, the Celtics are out due to a loss at Indiana tonight. I'm actually pretty relieved it's over. I did not want to see them face Detroit. However, if their young guys continue to improve, and if Gerald Green and Ryan Gomes play like they've been playing next year, I can pretty much guarantee a playoff spot next year. But this year, it's the Bulls. Yes, I am aware they don't have a chance. But what kind of loser goes for a team that actually has the ability to win? |

Are the LA lakers in the playoffs? I have zero interest in basketball, but their playoff status affects E3 parking

Yeah. They got in. But, it isn't really the Lakers who are in the playoffs. Rather Kobe is.

Mavs. They should have everyone except Keith Van Horn ready for the playoffs. That's not too bad really when one considers how banged up they've been all year. Their record is awesome, but it's even more impressive when one understands just how many injuries they've had.
Devin Harris and Adrian Griffin are still out, but they'll be back in the next few games and ready to go. |

I'm expecting a few upsets this year. I think New Jersey, Denver and Dallas can really turn heads and go a lot further than everyone expected. Never expect the two number ones to make it automatically.

I know absolutely nothing about this, but I'm rooting for the 76ers.

They're not likely to make it. They're tied with Chicago for the 8th spot and with the Bulls playing like they are, and with Philla playing like they are, it looks like Chicago will take it.

Well yeah, it happens now and then, but you shouldn't count everybody else out just because they were number one.

k, now that the playoffs have officially statred. This thread can be revived.
So, I'm going to rely on major upsets here and say that it will be Denver and New Jersey facing off with Denver taking it by one game. But, let's be realistic, I think it will probably be Phoenix and Detroit with Detroit taking it. |

Out of curiosity, what is a "playoff" exactly?

Like I said San Antonio beats Detroit in 6. Edit: I think the Lakers will beat Phoenix.

The first game of the first round cannot paint the picture. I'm not saying the Kings will beat them, but I don't think they'll go all the way.

For some reason I lost interest in basketball after the NCAA tournament. I suppose I'll watch the last games, though.

NCAA is overrated. I hate how people say it's better because the pros "play for the salary." Yeah, and the college kids play to get to the pros so they can "play for the salary."

What's wrong with playing for a salary? It gives a person more motivation, me thinks. I really rather watch the NBA than the NCAA. The level of skill is so much higher and the games are much more fast paced and exciting.
