Well SoccerDude, say what you will. I find it odd that the Mavs got 17 free throws in the first half, then 3 in the second half. There's no point in arguing about this. The Spurs are a team of babies and that's just the way it is. They will probably win in 7 and go on to win the championship, but that doesn't change the fact that all of their whining, crying, and complaining has changed the foul calling.

And that is a time out call, or at least the beginning of one. It was clear when the game was LIVE that he was calling for time out and they didn't give it to him. Obviously you wouldn't notice that through your Spurs tinted glasses

Could it be that Dallas settled more for jumpers this time around? Or that Harris wasn't as aggressive with the ball? Dallas was outplayed in this game and they lost fair and square. Refs had nothing to do with the outcome.

As far as Timeouts go

This is what a time-out looks like. Terry's hands in that picture you showed did not look like this. Do you have another one where his hands are positioned in the form of a T? I don't know what his intentions were, but time-outs are usually not called based on intentions but based on your hand signal.

And I see the Mavs the ones crying and whinning Just take a look at Mark Cuban after the game. Classic.

the Ref-ing in this playoffs has been terrible as a whole.... The Nets had a rough deal with the refs after shaqs whinging and complaining. They should introduce a video referee for close calls

That's Mark Cuban, not the Mavericks players. During games the Spurs are the ones whining and crying and in post game interviews they bitch and moan. The Mavs don't. Perhaps you don't read or watch the post game interviews, but I do. And I've seen what the San Antonio PLAYERS and COACH have said. They whine and cry and suddenly the officiating changes in the series. The Mavs don't believe in complaining and whining and crying, which is probably why they won't win a championship.

"We win together, we lose together. It’s really difficult when we’re fighting an uphill battle at the free throw line. We’re the ones that don’t complain…I can’t say it… next question." - Avery Johnson after Game 6

I actually do.

Here are some quotes for you from the Spurs players after game 4 which they lost:

"It's not a situation where we're getting blown out and getting our hats handed to us," forward Bruce Bowen said. "It's the small things. If we do the small things we're going to be successful. ... We're right there. I feel like we're on the cusp of doing great things."

"We have to keep pushing," Robert Horry said. "The good thing is we're going home."

"We're still breathing," Finley said. "We have the opportunity to go back to San Antonio. I hope we're fortunate enough to make the trip back here."

And here is Pop after game 3 which they also lost:

"Our bottom line is that our defense has not been good enough to date," Popovich said. "That's the bottom-line story for us. People score 100 points or more, we'll probably going to lose that game. That's the way history has been."

That hardly classifies as whinning or complaining to the refs. If anything, they are criticizing themselves.

Selective quoting.

Look, none of this really matters. As long as the trophy stays in Texas, I don't care. But I do like the Mavs a lot more than the Spurs.

Ah, but it won't. As much as I hate them, the Pistons will bring the trophy back to the East, where it belongs.

That is, of course, assuming that the Spurs are the ones to make it. If the Mavs, Clippers or Suns make it, then they can have the trophy. Just so long as they kick Detroit's asses.

+1 reason to Don Nelson for Sacto Kings' coach.

Awesome basketball game yesterday, and an awesome finish to a great series. Dallas stepped up their game in this series and hit more clutch shots so they won.

No one wants to talk about the Finals? Predictions and such?

The 2 teams I like (Detroit and Spurs) have been eliminated. I really don't care much about the remaining teams.

Well, Detroit has no one to blame but themselves. At least the Spurs put up an INCREDIBLE fight. Perhaps we'll see how far Miami has come once the Finals begin, but right now I think it's obvious they didn't beat Detroit...the Pistons beat themselves. Going seven games with the Cavs is what let me know Detroit might be in trouble, and sure enough...

They didn't play well, and Miami really found their stride. Shaq is playing like the Lakers days, and D Wade is making more than 50% FGP. The supporting cast is not too shabby either. It will be interesting to see how they will match up with Dallas's atheletic back court, and who will take the task of guarding Shaq.
