You can get Sam & Max: Night of the Raving Dead (Season 2?) for free tonight from Telltale Games (Link). You don't need to enter any payment info, either.
Downloading now, and it's a ~120MB download for the PC. |

Telltale is great. I pre-ordered BttF and it's only 25 dollars. That averages to 5 dollars a game. I would've payed more for it.

It's a good idea, but the problem is that you can not order any way you want. Some European stores do not ship to US, and for us in EU it's a risk to buy in US (tax and custom).
So maybee the first information should be what currency and what part of the world this offer is. |

James 007, which offer do you mean? All the offers posted lately refer to downloadable games, so us Europeans don't have to worry about shipping or customs.
Or if you were referring to this topic in general, it's not a bad idea to include that information when available. But I think most places ship internationally nowadays, at least in my experience. |

I create. Therefore I am.

I think it's great to have a feed to subscribe to:
http://www.steamgamesales.com/stores.php Also, GamersGate have sales all the time, also on adventure games. Right now the Agatha Christie games are 50% off, Crime Stories and Sherlock Holmes 50 % off, Mata Hari 60% off just to mention some

Adventure Shop is having some great titles 4.99$ now. It's "this week special" so don't know if it's ending today or just started. Anyway, includes Black Mirror, The Abbey, Machinarium, TLJ, Culpa Innata Uncut, NiBiRu...
Hmm... It seems that the prices are pretty much $=€ so using the US site rocks? Is there any difference?

You mean that your euro won't be converted into dollars? So you pay either 5 euro's or 5 dollars?
Because if it were converted I'd have to pay only 3,5 euro's for a 5 dollar game. =( I'd just like to share that pre-ordering Back To The Future makes you eligble for some sick deals. Every monday we get a discount coupon. Plus you get Puzzle Agent free if you pre-order. Anyway the coupons up till now in order were: 1. 50% off Bone Collection ~ 7,50 dollar discount 2. 50% off S&M3 Poster set ~ 10 dollar discount 3. 25 dollar discount on shipping. (For me more than welcome as I live in The Netherlands.) So basically the value of the coupons make up for rougly 42,50 dollars. And consider that BttF itself cost 25 dollars. Discount will be almost twice that retail price. If you're on the fence of pre-ordering BttF do it NOW!

I mean the US site has it prices in dollars (of course) and EU site in euros, and most of the time the price is the same number, meaning every purchase from US site is cheaper. I think it works that way, my "receipt" says 4.99USD so I don't understand why it would be 4.99€ even though the EU site has that price. Cannot check from the bank now though since I paid with husband's card .
Seems silly though, having an EU download shop that's more expensive. Is there some kind of compensation at all? Like some shops give credits of the amount of the euro-dollar difference.

The UK prices are also £4.99, which means it's the most expensive

I don't buy games at the Adventure Shop. Their policy of different download prices for Americans and Europeans is a pet peeve of mine. An extreme example is the price of the Art of Murder collection (3 games):
US citizens pay 29.97 dollars = 21.90 euros = 18.75 pounds Europeans pay 51.95 dollars = 37.99 euros = 32.51 pounds Brits pay 47.90 dollars = 35.02 euros = 29.99 pounds If I wanted to buy this collection, which I don't, I would get the boxed (!) retail edition from InteractCD: only $19.95 + $10 shipping to the Netherlands. |

They could have at least sent an email notifying of the deal with a link to the forums - I completely missed out on these. Thanks for letting me know. |

Oh and the sale is still on so I guess "the week" just started? I'm getting some money tomorrow so I think I'll finally grab TLJ and then I guess I could try out The (Murder in the) Abbey.
