Thanks for letting me know.
Yeah I just wanted to let people know that are on the fence. Like, if they think 25 dollars is a tad expensive for the BttF game(which I wouldn't understand, it's hella cheap) I am here to tell you that the benefits compensate more than enough.

Owh and it IS posted in the normal forum. I think in the
"FAQ for new posters & ask general questions here!" topic.

But I think a seperate topic would be more effective. I'll notify a TellTale member.

I think sending an email reminder would work - I stopped checking the forums after the Sam and Max finale.

Lack of time and interest. I was mainly lurking there anyway.

The forums are fun, but I visit quite a few forums already.

EDIT: dont enjoy sam and max either it seem. (that first room and puzzle was simple fun and the dialgoue made me laugh, but outside of the office and the game falls apart almost right away)

every tell tale game i have tried, starts of soo slowly, giving you too many places to explore, too much unineteresting dialogue to sift through. and the puzzle design is just not fun.

im enjoying beneath a steel sky much more and that game is more than a decade older.

maybe i need more patience, but i just dont feel inclined to put my time into these games, and i have to fault the basic design and execution of the game for that, as it just doesn't engross me ONE bit.

ill try back to the future, but right now i am defintiely not feeling TT

The XBLA versions of Monkey Island 1 & 2 are half price this week (400 points/$5 instead of the usual 800/$10) as part of Microsoft's Thanksgiving week promotions. Also Splosion Man is only $2 as well...not an adventure game obviously but if you don't have it yet $2 is an insane price for such a good downloadable title.

Steam is having a sale, with new discounts every day. Today they have Sam&Max season 3 for about $10.

The TellTale site is having a 30 Holidays Sale. With today 50% off of everything in store.

Let's see I just got Monkey Island SE (10 dollars) and Wallace and Gromit Adventures (20 dollars) for 15 dollars together. Which is roughly 11 euro's. =D

Indie Story Pack, 90% off today on Steam. 5 games, not sure if any are traditional adventure games.

http://store.steampowered.com/sub/6790/

Is Jolly Rover good? That and Puzzle Agent are both listed as adventure games.

RECENT adventure point and click games always get a rough time from the "mainstream" review sites, that all im basing my assumption on. and going on that 72 isn't bad at all.

please let me know why im wrong though

I bought the indie pack, just a few euros and 3 somewhat interesting titles. Jolly Rover seems to be decent at least, tried it for a few minutes so far and will play it more when I have the time. Also interested in Recettear and Puzzle Agent, should easily be worth the price.

Might have time to check out the other two titles at some point too.

I also just caved in and bought the pack, most of the games seem well rated and at 90% off, it's a crazy deal. Jolly Rover interests me the most, the screenshots at least give it the look of a classic point-n-click adventure game, maybe more casual though.

People at the Steam forums seem to love it.

So you have now added the words RECENT and MAINSTREAM... that explains a lot, doesn't it.

But Metacritic covers not just recent games or mainstream review sites. It all depends on the particular point-and-click adventure.
