You should, Conquests of the Longbow is an awesome game!

I so second this! After finishing GK2, I started planning my 'GK2 pilgrimage', to visit all the real life locations is the game. (Still haven't found the time to actually go though...)

And one that just occured to me:
...When you keep on quoting random lines from random adventure games, just because it fits the situation.

Did a mini one this summer. Munich Zoo, Marienplatz and a small shooting club (the closest I could get to Hunting lodge) in rural Bavaria.

It really is surreal to see Marienplatz in real life after having played GK2.

And when in a store walk to the manager and ask him why all the HOGs are in the AG department and why they don't have a seperate department for them.

...when every time you see a secutiry guard or receptionist you begin devising wildly improbable plans to distract them so you can get past!

Completely agree on the adventure games pilgrimage front, I've been wanting to do Munich etc. (GK2) and Rennes-le-Chateaux (GK3) for a while. Might have to check out some of the Lost Crown/Barrow Hill locations in Cornwall too! One of these days I'll get round to it...!

I lived for several years in Heidelberg and Stuttgart and seeing Marienplatz in the game brought tears to my eyes.

So so true... I thought the Uk and Europe would be adventure game heaven, but I found that everywhere has a severe lack...

When you meet Spanish-speaking people and the only thing you can say to them is 'Es el pollo diablo'.
And that's also what I think when I see Mexican dishes with chicken in it.

That's exactly how I feel. I hate that. I also see tentative RPGs in the so-called "Adventure" isle, and it really urks me. Good idea for an example.

When you think all your favourite tv shows would make great games and daydream about playing them... but they'd probably end up an action game anyway
