Staff BioAdventures games have always been my biggest hobby, with baseball a close second. I grew up in the ‘80s and started with Zork and King’s Quest like many Gen-Z folks. However, it was Police Quest that got me hooked for good. PQ2 was the first game I got to play with my dad and at eight years old I was the only person who figured out what to do on the airplane (which, as has been pointed out, is ironic given that I teach racial equity). Sometimes my kids ask me to play adventure games so they can watch.
My favorite subgenres are interactive fiction (I’m a major contributor at IFDb), thriller, mild action-adventure (e.g. Portal, Beyond Good & Evil) and full-motion video. Mainly, though, I just like in-depth stories with good dialogue. My guilty pleasure game is Heart of China.
I’ve written over 100 reviews for my personal website, Death By Troggles. I’ve also done countdowns on every episode of TNG and DS9, along with a lot of NES reviews.

This light hacking mystery in futuristic Toronto spins an intriguing tale, though its believability never fully computes.
Letters – a written adventure review
Even if you think "platforming"is a bad word, this game's clever word-based mechanic, poignant story and charming presentation should seal the deal.
She Sees Red review
It's limited by some unfortunate design choices, but this live-action interactive thriller can be a bloody good time before the novelty wears off.
