Guess the game from the song
Try and guess the game based on the song that's posted. Once the current mystery is solved, we can move onto the next.
Here's one to start. |

I'm banging my head against the wall, but I can't place the song. I know I heard it before.
Is it from King's Quest 6?

Specifically, it was the Bookworm's bookplace.
And Art's MIDI is Detective Mosley's office in Gabriel Knight 1. Peace & Luv, Liz

You are correct, Liz! And I thought I was being tricksy... Mosley's theme seems too upbeat to belong in Gabriel Knight.

Heh! Well, I help out at Sierra Music Central, so I have a fair bit of Sierra music burned into my brain at this point. And that's one of the GK tunes I found most distinctive to me. (Plus I like Mosely. ) Anyhoo. Erm, I hope OGG is OK, I don't have any MIDIs on hand at the moment. Guess the song. (~315KB) Peace & Luv, Liz

Okay, this is screwy, I click the link, my windows media player, real player et cetera appears to play the file, but I can't hear a damn thing.
I just felt like sharing that 'cause I'm annoyed .

That's a nice game. I thought about starting something like that, but I have nowhere to upload files, so I didn't.
And I don't know what Jeysie's song is; it sounds familiar, but it's very common as well, so I don't think it's from a game I've actually played.

My Realplayer doesn't like .oggs at the moment, so I can't comment. Which is a shame, because this kind of game I might actually be good at .

If anyone running Windows wants a free, simple, small, MP3/OGG player, try Coolplayer. No install or anything required.

I downloaded Winamp just so I could play that OGG file, and I have no idea where it could be from. Some horror game that I've never played probably.

Art: You're on the right track (er, no pun intended).
Mistah Lacey: NP. I love Coolplayer, it's a neat little program. Heck of a lot easier to skin than WinAmp, too. Peace & Luv, Liz

My guess would be Phantasmagoria 2, although I'm sure it's wrong.

This is a really great game.... I have no idea where jersey's song is from - I don't think I've heard it before....
Can anyone recommend a file-uploading place so we all can attend this game? |
