Eurogamer just gave it the "Top Game of 2005" even though it's not even out, lots of the games listed aren't for sale in Europe...

LMAO. That's probably the saddest thing I've read all year.

I can't blame them, though. It was supposed to be released twice this year, and unlike the big titles, the delays were never announced. They just happened.

Are you guys actually suggesting that they might not even release it? This game is the main reason why I bought an XBox.

It was mine too, but I bought the US PC version anyway...

I might have done the same thing except I don't have a graphics card that supports Pixel Shading.

I had the demo on my PC for months, and every so often I'd click on the shortcut hoping it would miraculously start, until eventually I got a message saying the demo had expired, it was a relief in a way.*

Anyway, putting in a new graphics card can be messy, and it still would not run all that great because it's quite an old PC now, so I figure getting an XBox cheap was the best solution.

*That's an exaggeration, obviously I'm not really that sad.

Doesn't Tim Schafer himself know if Psychonauts is released in Germany or not?

That's unsettling. Or maybe I'm just naive for thinking that he has some control over these things. Or maybe my German is worse than I thought, and he's actually asking a completely different question.

I'm not sure if this is a serious question. No, not at all.

Are you saying the humour went right over my head? It wouldn't be the first time.

Although I did get the impression that he was being serious, I guess I shouldn't expect anything less from his blog.

While it's a mistake to ever take anything on the DFAN seriously, it's possible that he really doesn't know. THQ and Majesco handle that, and as we've seen they're not too good and sticking with release dates. Plus there have been rumors of the game randomly showing up at different parts of Europe, so no one really knows.

All you poor citizens who haven't had the taste of Psychonauts goodness.
Psychonauts is selling for 9.90 on gogamer.com in their 48 hour madness thingy.

Granted, I'm not entirely sure what to make out of this myself. Heheh.
But...

Yeah, it looks like it might actually get released on Friday. I never thought we would see the day.

Can't wait.

It's the official German word for Psychonauts as bestowed upon us by the Source itself: Tim.

Also, I saw Psychonauts in stores here in the Netherlands saturday, but it was an English import, so that doesn't count. Weird to see that purple/yellow box on the racks. I have to say it makes almost NO impression. I could barely see it. And I think the cover looks a lot less impressive and well-constructed with the background pictures scrapped from one of the colours. Almost unfinished. Pity that!

Sadly I can't justify another full price purchase when I already own it, even if I prefer the European box art and the fact that it's on a DVD .

As soon as it drops in price I'll make sure to grab another copy, though.

And if you haven't got a copy then GO AND BUY IT RIGHT NOW! BECAUSE IT'S UTTERLY FANTASTIC!

Is £17.99 full price in UK?
