Yes I know I described you for reasons I've told you many times before.

A. Clothes- If he likes to work around the house, get him clothes that will make this easier for him. BVD brand 100% cotton T-shirts with a pocket on the chest are wonderful things. Get them in a dark color he likes (blue, green, or purple), or better yet in black because it doesn't show grease and oil spots.

Could be an option since the ones he's got are indeed stained.

Also, real carpenter's pants (Dickie's is a good brand) in darkest denim are a good gift because of their numerous pockets and loops.

He gets carpenter's pants from his company. It's part of his uniform. He's got both pants and shorts with all those pockets and loops.

B. Books on his favorite subjects like auto mechanics or home improvement. Not coffee table picture books, but genuine technical manuals with lots of diagrams, charts, plans, and cutaway drawings.

Could be an option although he likes to design everything himself (our kitchen and the boat interior are his masterpieces.) It's his way of being creative!

A gift certificate to his favorite tool store will be much appreciated by him.

This is probably the ultimate gift! As a matter of fact his favourite store are soon to locate here in our town. It's often called a male day care center by women. You can put your hubby there for a couple of hours while you're shopping.

As the words of an old Country song say "Don't pay the ransom, honey...I've escaped!". I'm currently working as a highly-paid call-boy in downtown Reno...well, I would be highly paid if I could just quit giving out so many free samples before purchase.

Seriously though, I'm still in Birmingham, still schlepping tires, and I still haven't cut my hair. While my hair isn't to "Fabio" length yet, it's definately at the "Jesus Christ/'70s Rock Star" level.
