It's big, it's green, it's the Shrek 2 trailer... and you can watch it now!

I downloaded it from Kazaa btw...

Hmm, so they are making Shrek 2, will it be as surprisingly good as the first one?

I thought that movie didn't need a sequel, the first one was like a "perfect" fairy tale.

I don't expect Shrek 2 to be another adventurous quest-sort of story again, but more of an entertaining sidestory about... well, father-in-laws and that sort. The trailer was funny.

It seems the sequel can be funny just as the first one sort of was. But why do they have to have pop music all the time?

I didn't really like Shrek. It just seemed like one big pop culture reference.

I'd rather watch a Pixar movie instead.

You mean post-modern recontexualizing and pastiche?

Oh. Sorry.

What's 'pastiche' exactly? It sounds like some sort of... ragout

Anyway, I like Pixar-movies and Dreamwork-ones the same ^_^ Although I didn't need all the popsongs either.

I didn't really see what was so hilarious about Shrek either... It was decent, but I just didn't see what was so special about it... So pan me, slap me, whatever...

EDIT: Actually, after watching the Shrek 2 trailer, it didn't look that bad at all. You may disarm your frying pans!

This is not just another hollywood movie, it's an animated film, carefully and lovingly made. There's a difference, and in any way you don't have to see it if you don't want to.

Speaking of animation; there's a Spanish 3D-animated movie coming to Holland soon. Have you ever heard of it Jaf? El Bosque Animado (or something), "The Living Forest"...?

I saw a trailer for the Living Forest at the art house cinema yesterday and it seemed to me that it was geared purely towards little kids. But it looked really good.

And it showed it was already a couple of years old. Regardless. What movie did you watch in the art house cinema, Marek?

And I looked up "pistache". You were right with the nuts.

pastiche, Flux, not pistache. Pistachios are the nuts, a pastiche is not. Look it up.
