Exactly. I also like the blurry background. In my garden, wherever you poinjt your camera the background is super uglu so it'd better be as blurry as possible.

And Tobbe, I like the second shot of that cat best. The way it looks into the lens is very professional.

That cat is amazing (I'm tapping the ears of my cat, otherwise she'll be jealous)

And tsa, that photo is amazing in every respect: color, atmosphere, subject (the way it turns gives a great sense of movement and direction). You are very talented.

Oh, man. There's some impressive photos in this thread! Keep 'em coming.

(Here's the alternate, photoshopped version of that bridge picture I posted earlier, btw.)

Not like rlpw's shot into the branches but it's proved popular in the blog thread

Snowing at the chapel

Love the animal shots. All so clear.

Well, here's just (random) one I took last fall. I'll see about posting some more pics once I find a host that I like...

Works a bit better when it's in its original large size

It is pretty hard to pick but here is my effort!

Keep in mind I don't edit my photos, doesn't feel right to do so (for me at least)
Sorry about the big sizes

Yours are pretty good too. I also don't edit my photos. If it doesn't come out of the camera right, it's not a good picture. I only change colors every now and then if the camera couldn't capture the colors right, and I treat red eyes when I feel like it.

Thank You! but I am very envious over that picture of yours. I try to take pictures that represent all weather effects and seasons but I am a bit lacking with decent rain/snow footages (if any at all). It's also easier to do it on a brighter day !

Well not that people aren't talented at editing either but it doesn't make photography as "real" as the old days where they did not even have the same tools to fix things with. This thread better keep getting pictures!

I will post a new picture soon. I took some very nice ones yesterday in a museum here in Enschede. Thanks for the compliment Mike!

Yesterday I took this one:

It was taken in a museum that shows the development of the region I live in from the last Ice Age until now. Really nice museum, both architecturally(?) and content-wise. If you click on the picture you will find more pictures taken in the museum.
