Oh boy. I have to give a talk in 2 hours. Now I will see the evil eye and teeth on every sheet!
BTW, next Monday I will hopefully have the replacement I ordered for the camera I left in the train! I hope the weather will be better then so I can make more pictures. I will post some here then. |

Yesterday I bought a new Nikon D90! I am a happy tsa, particularly because we had nice weather for a change yesterday. A nice break from the rain we've been having since 3 weeks, and a nice opprtunity to make pictures in the garden. Here are two pictures, one of lichen, and of course the obligatory picture of Annabel. Both were made with my 105 mm Sigma macrolens:

Haha! sounds real enough to me ! All about angles!
Unfortunately I manage to bust my own personal camera (the screen doesn't work so I can't fix the settings manually) so have to lend others cameras so my contribution will be slow in this thread (with new stuff) So I decide to just show a bit more old pictures from my country *hopefully it can make people interested in visiting Norway* Heres some views from a place I used to live in during my childhood surrounded by fjords on the west of Norway: A view outside my grandfathers place, always been nice to sit inside his living room in the second floor and gaze into the fjords opening Some views from this outpost high up you can walk to if you can bare walking for 30 - 60 minutes: A view towards the town from above: Cloudberrys being spotted around: Not the same place but takes 20 minutes to drive to by car, outstanding beautiful place with vast isolated mountains... Black snail says hey.. Now some photos from some Island thats 2 minutes away from this harbour in Oslo (I live close to Oslo these days which is located East of Norway), it has some old rare plant breeds that are isolated to this day and rare. Usually people go to this island during the spring/summer to swim on the beach sides or have picnicks. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...nds/yene77.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...nds/yene59.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...nds/yene69.jpg Last edited by MikeLXXXVIII; 03-19-2009 at 06:32 AM. |

Awesome photos MikeLXXXVIII: the photos of the fjords are really amazing!
Unfortunately, that horrid beast whose name I dare not speak is fearful: if I'd ever seen one of those, I'd die

Very nice pictures Mike! I also like the one of the underside of the tree a lot ( this one). The black slug is also beautiful. Pity it's mostly hidden behind stuff.
I didn't take any spectacular pictures with my new camera yet, so here's an oldie: |

Mine's a snail. Snails have houses, slugs don't. And we seem to have less in common than we thought Andrea .
It defies all the rules of photography but thanks to the bright colors it has a certain je ne sais quoi, don't you think? |

Great pictures from beautiful Norway. I'd like you even more if you guys stopped winning all cross country skiing competitions. I was both amazed and totally sick and tired of Petter Northug during the World Championships. tsa That is one amazing picture. The colours blows me away.

Hmm... Maybe I should post a couple of pics that I may or may not have taken myself, from Lapland and Norway (since we're on the theme here)...
BTW, awesome pic Tsa, and a couple of really nice ones from Mike too (Edit): OK, here's a couple from Lapland and Norway from autumn 2007, I'll post a link to a few more (all have been resized, but I'm sure you can live with it ). As I said, I can't be sure if it de facto was me or my father who took some of these (I'm guessing there's some by both) but that's just technicalities... (2nd is from Norway, rest from Lapland) http://s627.photobucket.com/albums/t.../AG%20resized/ Last edited by UPtimist; 03-21-2009 at 07:42 AM. |
