Since 2005, here in Germany, we now have something called the "Bundesvision Song Contest". And guess what at least 10 of the total 16 of this year's entries were about? Yes, you guessed right: Love.

Come on people, be a bit more original!

But altogether, the songs weren't all that bad.

I'm sad to say that Denmark this year will send a singer who can't sing and who apparently hasn't got a tune in too boot or anywhere else.

Apparently, the singer sang a song and delivered a Drama show worthy of a Queen. And the singer is male...

I'm not ot to get gays or homosexuals here, but I just don't see any reason in sending anyone, gay or not, that can sing

I posted this before in the Now playing thread.
Try to sit still to this entry. I really like it!

Jazzhara: 7 points. Eh, a bit boring. Maybe it'd be better to resurrect the REAL Frankiedankieboy. I even prefer Robbie Williams swing stuff over this, and this means something. Also, first time I've ever heard this...

^Lena, I don't like that either to be honest... And The Ark have better songs. IMHO. etc. ;PP

Also: Molvania for the win. (I know this is old stuff).

Oh, man. I have no idea what the words mean, but "big band" jazz rocks. Of course, as Trumgottist has said, this is far too good to win.

Having listened to our "song", I can at least say that we'll get points for name-dropping. It's a shame that the music is appalling.

Be glad. Yeah, contra basses kick butt, but there's nothing in that song (nor in the performance) that wows me in any way. Plus, his rhymes are.. oh my. "Sie pushen Beckham und stürzen Clinton ohne dafür 'ne Partei zu gründen".

At least last year's Texas Lightning had a pretty catchy hook and slide guitars (plus cowboy hats). This has nothing. SO, where's Engerland's entry anyway?

Mind you, I'm not sure I'm really qualified to comment on Eurovision, as the Darkness fan in me wanted this to win.

samiamsad posted a broken url.

here's the correct one for the molvania entry of 2004 [*chuckles*]

http://www.molvania.com.au/molvania/...sion_2004.html

and, so long as i'm here, the follow up song ["i am the anti-pope"] is /far/ darker. probably not for the religious faint-of-heart:

I wasn't saying it was better than Sinatra. I wouldn't even dream of saying that.

Just because I say "I like the song", doesn't mean it is good. I was simply saying that it was better than most Eurovision songs.

Personally, the best song we ever sent to Eurovision was "Wadde Hadde Dudde Da", because that showed that we do not actually take Eurovision seriously. At least that's how I interpret it. Also, it was funny.

Ah, the memories...

I should point out that the reason this sounds quite as bad as it does is that they managed to sing it out of tune.

He reminds me of that villian that loses his legs in Jim Henson's The Storyteller...

I think that was the first performance in the history of Eurovision that was really... er, out there, wasn't it? In subsequent events one or two acts like that have become the norm.

edit;: I just realized it's been ten, make that TEN years.
