1. I don't think so, but if I did, I'd like to think we would've been good friends.
2. You mean, a defence system out of asteroids and/or satellites? Now that I think of it, that would be kind of cool. 3. Well, yeah, but I came to terms with it a long time ago, so it's not as bad as, say, being bummed upon finding out that I can't make games for a living. *** 1. Why bother posting in this thread if you can't think of good answers to the questions? 2. Why bother posting in this thread if you can't think of good questions to ask? 3. Why bother, period?

Just as a little aside here, tsa's questions made me wonder something, and this thread is probably the best place to pose the question. I have a strong dislike for public oration, but when called upon to do it, I'd far rather do it in front of a large audience than a small one. If somebody told me to get on stage in a stadium and read something, I'd be far more comfortable doing so, than giving the same talk to a room filled with 15 people, just because it's so much less personal. Does anyone else feel like this? (Oh, and I'd probably still have a stiff drink before doing either. )

2. I have several, but if I wear the same one too often, I usually get sick of it. 3. Generally, I prefer sandwiches of the hot and/or toasted variety, but beyond that, it depends what I feel like eating. P.S. Jatsie, I don't think I have that problem per se, unless all 15 people were of the sort that I'd generally feel anxious around. I can see the advantage in having a huge crowd then, because you'd likely have a broader range of personalities. But then, I don't have all that many problems with public speaking, period. *** 1. Which would you enjoy more (or hate less, as the case may be): giving a speech, or starring in a play? Assume that your audiences in each case are the same size. 2. Same situation as above, but now the choice is between giving a speech and casually socialising at a party. 3. What kinds of personalities are you generally most uncomfortable approaching for the first time?

1. If all I have is a pick-up truck full of wood, and using that wood to build a bridge would be acceptable were I to have enough of it, then clearly the wood isn't important. So I'd dump the truck and swim across. Alternatively, I'd travel along the side of the canal to a narrower section.
