Personally, I've got my money on Ms. Black And White Vogue. Who else would know the inner workings of this game of guess in such detail? Can you then, Ms., post another cross-list and register yourself with one vote from me? |

How do you know about my shores?
Not even the Angry Sea Gods themselves know of the secret islands of my shores... i would best keep my nose out of them if i were you, Impostor... if that is your real name!

Twine
I have decided to post a series of increasingly easy clues to aid the Identity Parade. Every time I feel a lull in deduction or a lack of attention, I will give you another gentle pat in the right direction. I assure you I will not pull the wool over your eyes; they will all be genuine hints — not a yarn in sight. In other words, this thread will be rife with clews. Indeed it seems possible that even the first one could give it away, and maybe even this introductory paragraph.
So, why "Twine"? Because I don't like red. Clew #1: — |

Thanks, AFGNCAAP! I've not re-checked those posts you refer to, so here's the updated list (though I'm keeping you saying Kingz in until I find the post that gave me that impression initially):
Statements made whom it is
Statements made whom it is not by forumites, that haven't been confirmed
Again, if I missed any in either list, let me know. I'm rather flattered that the Impostor likens themselves to me. Incidentally, I wish to neither deny nor confirm that. It's far more rewarding to watch this game drawn out, much to the dismay of everyone else. Edit: @AFGNCAAP: The post. Agreed, that's more my interpretation than not. Removing you from the Kingz' list. Sorry. (The general vagueness level around that area was pretty high, so I counted a few implicite guesses, too).

Hmm. I think the staff forum already knows who you are. I'm after your time, though, so I wouldn't have figured it out on my own.

Do you like to sail?
Also, I had remarked on the short story connection and then you talk about yarns in this thread. Are you a writer? Just musing out loud... Last edited by Melanie68; 10-28-2006 at 07:55 PM. |

White wine, eh? Pinot Noir wouldn't be your drop of choice, would it?
And would 'clew' be a sailing reference? I know he's supposedly been discounted, but I distinctly recall SJH having "sideways" and sailing themed avatars / sigs in the not too distant past. And SJH hates a "lack of attention" as much as anyone I've ever met. Last edited by simpson_yellow; 10-28-2006 at 08:08 PM. |

The clew is the free corner(s) of a sail.

No way is The Impostor Omloflump. No way.
The Impostor is fun, whereas Omloflump seemed to live to be a downer. If you doubt me, go back and read some of Omloflump's posts, then compare them to the playful tone of The Impostor. Not even close, are they?

Yeah, I'm sticking with squarejaw too. Just wondering if there's some other way of reading The Impostor's refutation in post 124.... By saying he "ain't one of those three", he could be saying he isn't gilly for example, but leaving the other options open.
I think Karmillo's a bit of a stretch though. Last edited by simpson_yellow; 10-28-2006 at 09:23 PM. |
