Location: My college room, Oxford.

Weather: Windy. The ground is wet because it's been raining on and off.

Activity: Surfing the web and reading the AG forums. Occasionally going over to my room's piano and playing something.

State of mind: Slightly restless. I've been on the go all day, so to suddenly find myself with a free hour is slightly weird.

Thoughts: Freshers' Week has been exhausting, and now I have to start doing some actual academic work! That said, it really hasn't been too bad - the college music society gained over 170 signatures for our orchestra and non-auditioning choir - and it's been nice to meet up with acquaintances from college again after the long vacation. I still feel strangely unsatisfied with myself, but I'm resigned to that feeling by now.

Location: At work at the museum.

Weather: Overcast and cool for now, 58°F/14°C.

Activity: Waiting for visitors, forumming here, checking email.

Apparel: Dumpy sage green polo shirt (the kind that boring old men wear) with the museum logo, khakis, my black Adidas sneakers with white stripes.

State of mind: Slightly distracted but competent enough to get on here at work.

Mood: Pretty good, really.

Thoughts: I'm sitting at my desk directly across the museum shop. They're playing this revolting cd that has popular Christmas songs, but they've substituted every other word with dinosaur terms and they stink of insulting kiddy showtunes (think Barney, f**king eiw!!). It's disgusting, all the more so because you just KNOW the parents are dumb enough to get it for their kids (and the kids are dumb enough to want it). Screw that. Gimme Maurice Sendak and Roald Dahl any day.

Other than that I'm in a splendid place.

Weather: Cloudy and cool, 69°F (21°C).

Activity: Waiting for visitors, forumming here.

Apparel: Dumpy sage green polo shirt (the kind that boring old men wear) with the museum logo, khakis, black suede skate shoes.

State of mind: Not quite all here, but not totally there either.

Mood: Pleasant, but not too pleasant. A bit bored from the uneventful day.

Thoughts: Mistook my best friend/niece and other niece's driving down here for this weekend instead of next, which is when they're actually coming down. Guess I'm that excited about it. Need to make K's birthday cd mix. Debating whether I should go to Trader Joe's for groceries later, but am definitely going to Rite-Aid (ran out of moisturizer and contact lens solution). I could use a good snog in this autumn weather. And kittens on my mind these past few days.

Location: In front of my computer in the computer room of my apartment.

Weather: Looks like it's cloudy out. Can't tell if it's raining yet.

Activity: Brooding, mainly. Typing as a minor.

Clothing: Fuzzy white bathrobe. Nothing underneath. So exciting.

State of mind: Cloudy with a chance of thunderstorms. Careful for low visibility on the roads today, as fog settles in around Limbo.

Mood: Honestly, I feel a little like getting dressed, packing a bag, and taking a train or a bus and going quite a ways away from here for a while.

Thought: Who am I?

Location: The usual in front of the computer.

Weather: Sunny but a few clouds there as well. Fresh air 11 C/ 52F. Perfect
weather for a walk in the forest.

Activity: Just came back from an hour in the forest with Jaffa. Found lots of chanterells (the mushroom).

Clothing: Brown jeans and a knitted off white sweater.

State of mind/Mood: Relaxed and more than content when thinking about the
amount of chantarells I picked today.

Thoughts: Yaay for no headache. It's important to grasp each moment of happiness in the small things around. That's what life is about.
I'm about to pick my daughter and her best friend up. She's having this best friend from the west coast over for the weekend. They are so close since they share a very rare physical diagnose. No one in the world can undestand them better and give them support as they do to each other.

Do chanterelles cost much in Sweden? In the US they can range between ten and twenty dollars (a pound?), so my parents often pick them from a forest also.

I'm not sure really since I never buy them. (I love being out in the forest and there has been lots of it this year as well as last year.) But I guess $7-10/pound.

Location: At my place in San Rafael, in front of my aging laptop that'll likely have to be replaced by something newer and hotter soon.

Weather: It's sunny now, but was less so an hour ago. It's also colder these days than it used to be, but not as cold as Vancouver was getting.

Activity: Typing up this post whilst trying to be devastatingly witty.

Clothing: Pyjama pants, a grey t-shirt, and a black UBC Computer Science hoodie on top of it.

State of mind: Pensive.

Mood: What's the difference between "state of mind" and "mood"? Anyone?

Thoughts: My stomach's starting to make noises. I should get dressed and grab some food soon. Also, I hope Lee's doing all right.

Now there's something I wish I could help with. Sadly, I've not yet purchased a first laptop, let alone a newer, hotter one. *starts thinking of a laptop with a pretty Death icon on it somewhere*

It's pretty cool here in Hamilton, too. We got missed by the freak blizzard that hit Buffalo, but I'm figuring it's going to start looking very wintery around here soon.

Good question. I've just been making it up as we went along. Let's ask Trep. Trep?

Location: At home, behind (or is it in front of?) the computer in my study room slash office.

Weather: It's night. (1:52 AM.)

Activity: Preparing to go to sleep. Just brushed my teeth.

Clothing: Still got my clothes on.

State of mind: Not sleepy enough yet.

Thoughts: I'm still not *really* used to the time difference, I guess. I returned from San Francisco a week ago, and since then I stay up way longer than before. I never had this before, not even when I returned from NYC a few years back.

Location At home, in my computer room

Wearing Nightgown, bathrobe, slippers (worked last night, just got up a couple of hours ago)

Eating, Drinking Some crackers and cheese with second glass of white wine

Mood, State of Mind Pensive. I finagled tonight off from work, as I always work Sunday nights. I thought of calling a couple of friends to come over, but decided not to - I want to be alone, but not alone with myself, if that makes any sense. So I'm online and not as alone as I could be.

This is the anniversary of the day 4 years ago when I found my roommate dead in his room. I knew he was a heavy drinker, but hell! who expects a 26 yr old guy to die of cirrhosis? I'm a nurse and I didn't see it coming. He had stopped drinking about 10 days before, so I thought his sickness was from DT's.

He'd always told me he wouldn't live to be 30 - he was right. By the time he'd gotten to the point that he maybe did want to live, it was too late. It is such a shame - he was a brilliant, powerful guy - very charismatic - he drew people to him, a natural leader.

Anyway, today is not to mourn him, but to say thanks for the time I got to spend with him, and to say "Paul, I love you and miss you", and to raise my glass of wine in a cheer!

In front of my computer, inthe easy chair. Desk chair is waiting at the drawing table tonight.
Cool and clear out tonight. Perfect night for a walk.
I'm taking a break while I finish resting fromt he walk and devouring a light dinner.
Just finished soup and a sandwich. Need something to clear the congestion in my chest now.
Wearing a slightly effeminate teeshirt and a pari of light workout pants that look like grey flannel pyjamas.
I'm missing friends. I'm not in the mood to draw. I want to snuggle and watch movies. Maybe snog.

Location: Computer desk, as usual.
Weather, cool and clear.
Eating: Freeze pop. Very unhealthy, but tasty. Which is an odd way of justifying my eating habits.
Attire: usual.
Mood: Mirky. It's been a really crappy week, so I can only hope that things wwill start looking up.

If you work at TellTale, perhaps.

No, I'm not sure about that.
Since researching Telltale, I've found that they're really a bunch of goofballs. Which expains why their games are so popular.
