Default Secret Files 3

Hello everyone

I noticed that we don't have this in our release date list. So, this'll be a "heads-up"

The game is not listed because it hasn't been officially announced yet. I could be wrong however, not sure.

Can't wait for it. Shoddy voice acting aside, the first two games were two of the best AGs I've played in some time.

I've been looking forward to Secret Files 3 ever since I finished Lost Horizon (the best game I played in 2010 by far) and there was a hint about a third Secret Files game. I enjoyed playing both Secret Files: Tunguska and Secret Files: Puritas Cordis. I also had fun playing playing Tunguska once again on my NintendoDS Lite.

I do hope they change the voice acting!
In SF 2 it was very annoying ....
But even if it's out I think I'll have to wait at least half of year for the english version, so....

Well, it wasn't as good acted game as Tunguska was, that's for sure. In general, however, I'm quite strongly against changing the voice actors in every part of the series. If they do change them, therefore the only sensible option is to use original actors from Tunguska. I'm thinking this way, because recognizing the characters is more important to me, than a really flawless acting.

I'd personally like to have the Max from SF1 paired up with Nina from SF2. Not that the second Max was awful, but I didn't like his voice at all for the character. I didn't mind the first Nina's young bimbo voice but let's face it, she cannot act.

Actually, I thought it was the other way around. The first actress's voice was a little off-putting at first because it was perhaps a little too girlie-girl-sounding for a respectable adventure heroine. However, the second actress, whose voice certainly had more gravitas, nevertheless was much less empathetic.

I haven't been able to finish that game because I keep losing my motivation to help her out, simply because she irritates me with her deadpan reading of the lines. I never once forget that she's reading lines. Not. Once. I'm still stuck on that stupid ship. Probably never will finish it. *shrug*

Give me the old Nina, or maybe give the new actress a frelling espresso or something.

It is like she's not involved, or being on another plan of existence...
Even if the first Nina is too girlish, she's more beliveble, even if (I recognize!) she can be irritating somethimes, I do prefer the first one and the first Max also!

Ah, Secret Files... To me, Secret Files vs Broken Sword is the same thing as National Treasure vs Indiana Jones. They try to emulate the key ingredients of the IMO "genre establishing" movie / adventure game, and they do it well from time to time, yet they simply lack charisma. Not only the characters, but also the story itself. Still, both the game and the movie series offer a decent dose of entertaiment, so I will most likely play Secret Files 3.

Actually, I was referring to the Secret Files and National Treasure with the "lack of charisma" remark. I think all the best about the Indiana Jones triology. Yes, I've deliberately said triology.

trilogy
Ha ha.... Clever!
I know what you mean I would rather forget the 4th film.
But nice comparison you have. National Treasure is definitely
a cheap version of Indiana Jones but is entertaining in its own right.
I have the same feeling with Secret Files.. But I do enjoy them none the less.
And I am looking forward to playing the new one.

I appologize for not being clear enough; I've meant Indiana Jones movie triology. The last film is entertaining, but it doesn't have the same magic. The same goes for Secret Files game in comparison to Broken Sword, at least when talking about first two Broken Sword games.

I knew what you meant I was just kidding. and also pointing out that Fate of Atlantis would've made a much better movie

The franchise that comes closest to captivating that IJ feel is Uncharted. =)

Just sayin', for the people who aren't aware of the series.
