Does reading it out count as a quote? Sounds like one of the tombstones in KQ7.

I don't see why not, as it is a line spoken in an adventure game. You're correct, by the way.

True enough. Reading something aloud is still speaking.
New one Just a child...could it have died here?

Ack... That sounds so familiar, yet I can't put my finger on it. Black Mirror, perhaps?

We have a winner. It is Sanitarium.
To be precise, it's a descriptive line you can get at the start of Chapter 5.

Ah-ha! I could hear the voice of the main character from Sanitarium in my head when reading that line — of course, I would have guessed it was from chapter 2, but since nobody asked I refrained from adding that to my guess...
OK, let's try this one now: You're right I am a fool... to have come here alone and unarmed. |

Still not it. OK, a few hints:
1) My aural memory is much more developed than my other types of memory, so I would never have posted a line that wasn't voiced. Which means it's from one of those games that was released in, more or less, the last 20 years — gee, thank you Kurufinwe for such a useful clue! 2) The line is not an optional comment that you may or may not have heard; it occurs during an important cutscene. 3) Erwin_Br wasn't completely off the mark: the character who says that line is a PI. And his behaviour was indeed foolish, and he pays for it with his life a few moments later. The last words he heard were "You can join them!". |

No, it wouldn't, unfortunately.
All right, another quote, which should help a lot. Same scene, a few moments later: – Dartmoor Prison will never see my face again. – Quite right... you'll hang at Newgate, if I know anything of British justice. BURN! (I originally meant to post this one straightaway, but I thought it'd be too easy...) |

Nope. I think the death penalty had been abolished in Britain long before the events of BS1 took place.
EDIT: That was for tsa. And gray pierce: you're right! |
