Exactly. Though, I have to say Brutal Legend is ALSO on the 360. Which I thought was a great game.

Gamefly. 30$ a month for three games out at a time.

Otherwise, three games a month would cost you around 180$.

Obscenely expensive, indeed. I plan on getting a PS3 later this year but I fear that as soon as I buy Guns of the Patriots they'll release an updated version like they did with all console MGS games. Also, GT5 was delayed again so I'm in no rush. but Heavy Rain I'll definitely get it eventually.

We don't have it in the UK. Sounds good, though.

That's why I use Lovefilm instead. Only costs me ÂŁ10 a month for 2 games out at once, up to 4 out at any given month. They have other options that raise and remove those limits. GAME have their own rental service too. Certainly has saved me a lot of money for those games that I might just play through once and never touch again.

As for Heavy Rain, that demo footage has sold me on it as a game I need to play.

I'm not sure if there will be such thing so soon, because as far as I know, they're working on Metal Gear Rising. Well, who knows...

About Heavy Rain plot. Does it has any connection with Indigo Prophecy (Fahrehheit) plot?

Why would it? Does Indigo Prophecy have any connections to Omikron?

I know I was going to boycott this game even though I have a PS3 I just really want it to come out on PC. It looks real good and hopefully will not have the problems I had with indigo prophecy (the out of nowhere ending).

Denaron: I read a while back that the game is firmly grounded in reality. Apparently no sci-fi or paranormal activity in sight. (Although Jayden's investigative tools looked all kinds of futuristic, huh? )

I think the demo did its job. I haven't stopped thinking about the game for days now!

Actually, I don't know. I've never played it.

I'm asking because details about the plot of Heavy Rain remain scarce (at least in wikipedia ). I remember a friend of mine saying a long time ago that it would be a sequel, but watching to the Demo Playthrough, looks like it's not.

Yeah, me too!
Well you know al of them are looking for the same killer from the wikipedia entry. The demo shows Shelby is a private detective hired by the family. The online game has been inferring a lot about the motivations of the killer.
Spoiler:
The killer seems dismayed at the neglect he sees in parents with regards to their kids. He then kidnaps the kids of parents he thinks are neglectful and attempts to see how far that parent will go, asking them to do horrible things, to get their kids back unharmed. When the parents don't comply, he kills the kids.
Note that just because they put this online as a promotion for the game, doesn't mean it all isn't a wild goose chase (possibly a copycat) that has nothing to do with the killer in the game.

Also, no, it's never been said that this was a sequel (though Quantic Dream was working on a sequel to Omikron before stopping to do this) and it has no connections to Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy.

Revolutionary? Really? What makes it unique, reliance on quick time events and good 3D visuals?

Don't get me wrong, it looks interesting, but it's not something I would buy a console for. In fact, I can't shake the feeling everyone's hyping this game to heaven because it's a "PS3 exclusive".

Your ignorance makes you fail to see that some thing is unique doesn't have to be totally out from right field. This game has changed the way we play games and tell a story. That makes it revolutionary.

Maybe the final game won't live up to demo. It happens, vice versa.

Hey guys, I wrote my thoughts on the demo here if you fancy a look: http://alternativemagazineonline.co....playstation-3/

I have high hopes now for when the game is released at the end of the month. I don't think it will replace the traditional adventure game, nor think that it should either. Heavy Rain seems to be going for its own unique style of gameplay and storytelling. I hope it succeeds!

As for comments of the game being hyped just because it is on PS3: that is rediculous. It is being hyped because, when you strip away the graphics and the QTEs, it is treating gamers maturely and focusing on a well developed story. I mean really, the reason I play adventure games is mostly for the stories and worlds I am swept away to: The Land Of The Dead, Monkey Island... and now the soaking wet world of Heavy Rain. Gameplay matters, but I do think there are different ways to involve players and let them interact with the narrative. What harm can this game do trying something a little unorthodox, experimental and different?

I agree, I'd be just as excited if the game was on PC or the 360 too.
