Jonathan Boakes is British, so it will be shipped from England.

Yes, but isn't the company US based?

You mean the publisher? Boakes' own company is of course British. If my memory serves me well the publisher is Iceberg Interactive, which is actually based in my own country, the Netherlands.

Ok, then it should be no risk to buy from the site.

Delayed till December 4.
Oh well. It's not like I didn't expect it.

And something else I expected: Looks like it will be cheaper to order the retail version (will there be a download option?) online at a US store like InteractCD and pay the extra shipping costs, than getting it from Dutch publisher Iceberg and have it delivered free.

Grrr, *grumble*. Sadness, I was so looking forward to it for this week! Well, I'm still looking forward to it, but it makes me sad that it's pushed back more. Thanks for letting us know, Fien.

Play.com will sell it for 23 Euros or so with free shipping. I've already preordered of course...

Yeah, I was looking at the preorder through Jonathan's store, and it would come out to about $43, quite a lot of money for a game. I'm used to only paying about $30 at the most. How much do I love these games?!

The Play.com option of about 17 pounds seems more reasonable. Thanks for the heads up! Hopefully they ship to the US...

EDIT: Aww, they don't. Anywhere else cheap?

You can find a better price at Sendit.com. They offer it for 17.89 GBP with free postage in UK. It works out to $30 for game and $4 for shipping to my US address. I've used this site before and find it to be quick and reliable.

Is it free shipping outside UK as well? I live in Denmark.

Edit : Never mind, it is also outside UK, so many thanks, I cancelled my order at Amazone and saved quite a lot, about 20%.

Bear in mind though that play.com is a Jersey based company so you may have to pay extra taxes and fees (Jersey is technically not part of EU). Has only happened to me once though and I've ordered a lot of music, games and DVD:s from them over the years. But I'm in Sweden. Maybe Danish customs officers are tougher.

Also, shipping is usually a bit slow. Often well over a week from dispatch to mailbox.

Uuuhaa... thanks for the warning. Does it say Jersey or UK in the shippingaddress?

We'll giv it a try this time. Live wild and dangerously!

I live in Denmark and have shopped with Play.com countlesss of times. Just make sure what you order is paid in euros and you will receive it without paying custom duties. I had to pay custom duties once because I ordered an american NTSC dvd from play.com, but everything priced in euros should be ok. It certainly has been for me so far. Shipping is about one week or 5 business days

Justadventure.com store sells the game for $ 39 incl. shipping. I think it´s a very fair price to pay considering it´s an independent european game. Most new games are priced at about $ 34 incl. shipping, so I would definitely give $ 5 for Jonathan´s new game

Thx for the notification! I will probably get that as I used the companions for the other two dark fall games as well. They are useful if you get stuck or/and you just want to get more background about the story. Totally fair price by the way!
I am SO excited about DF3, but I wished it for christmas so I can´t buy it yet, however I hope someone else will

It should be today, even if the game is still showing as pre-order everywhere. Hmmm

Anyone else worried that this game might be too scary? yes I know they are meant to be scary games, but I´d rather have a Lost Crown-kind-of scary instead of Silent Hill-kind-of scary. I hope Lost Souls is not too horror!

I'm quite sure Boakes is too smart to resort to what I like to call "gore porn". I think Lost Souls will still be first and foremost and adventure game, meaning that we will all be suitably, satisfyingly and (most important) happily scared.. And that "cheap" scares (like writhing skeletons appearing out of nowhere with a thunderclap while you're in a crypt using a night vision camera...) will be kept to a balanced minimum (like in Lost Crown). 'Cos yes, it does feel nice to jump in your chair if it's only every now and then.
I'm quite sure none of the scares will be so disturbing to scar our souls and/or prevent us from sleeping at night.
I hope to not be proved wrong!
