Help me pick a game!
Alright!
I've just finished playing Deus Ex human revolution, and although I liked the game, I just felt so nostalgic of the time where games could be more than violent shootouts. They could be magical, fun and beautiful! I've had enough of dystopias, zombies, robots and the like (although I do not really play shooters) I thought of replaying broken sword, or day of the tentacle, two of my favourite adventuregames but then I thought why not give something new a go? So, here I am wanting to try a new adventure game should I go with: - book of unwritten tales - a brawe new world - back to the future - the next big thing or - badge of carnage ? Looking for something fun, engaging and light-hearted (as you can probably tell) help me chose! thanks! |

Back to the future is a great game. Plus you would have a whole series to play through.

I found BttF to be pretty boring, personally. I say that as someone who liked their Sam & Max and Monkey Island stuff.
The Next Big Thing has a demo I suggest you try. It came off to me as a pretty game that maybe was lacking in soul, similar to the Runaway games. I plan to get it, but not right away. One game not on your list I recommend is Lost Horizon. It's fun, engaging and also has great visuals. It can be serious and exciting while also being silly and fun. It's one of my recent favorites. |

Here's another for Lost Horizon.
Myself, I had fun with The Next Big Thing but the demo of The Book of Unwritten Tales makes me think this may be the best adventure game to come out in English this year. The demo is available on the publisher's website so give it a go and see what you think. |

I strongly recommend: The Moment Of Silence. It is an old game but it is really special.
