Leisure Suit Larry 7 technical help

I can't play leisure suit larry with windows xp. So I installed windows 98 as well and after the first area, when larry jumps out of the burning building onto the tramploine etc, it doesn't go to the next area. It doesnt freeze because some of the characters on screen are still moving, but larry flys off the screen after he lands on the tramploine and doesnt come back. What do I do? Is it possible to get a save game that is at the very start of the boat. If anyone has a savegame that is at this point could they email it to me, at [email protected]

i haven't played this one yet, but this sounds like it could be a timing bug. have you tried slowing down your computer with a program like moslo or turbo?
