Default BS3 Hint - Spoilers ahead

Hi all! I've just signed up to this forum and i have a problem with BS3, i'm in that english city (don't remember the name ), and i really dunno what to do to continue the game. I've talked to the ex soldier, to the irish man in front of the pub, to the fortune teller and to the shop keeper. George heard some noise at the 2nd floor of the shop but i can't go upstairs, the shop keeper doesn't allow me to do it.

Have you checked out all of the hippie shopkeeper's wares? This is a broad hint. Interact with him about his wares and something should ring a bell about someone else...

I checked all but nothing happened. Well, George heard a toilet flush from the upper floor and nothing more. Now, i've nothing to say to anyone. When I try to talk to the ex soldier or to the irish man or any other character, i can only select the END DIALOGUE option, I really dunno what to do, what would have to happen?

Further spoiler:

Spoiler:
The shopkeeper, Tristram, has a book of poetry on display. Read it, talk to him about it, and then go back to the gent outside the pub who does the TV show and tell him about it... That oughta get you moving again...
