If i run the program under dosbox or using VDM sound ONLY the musc plays. anyone have any idea how to get the sound to work as well?

I've tried doing install through dosbox but it always errors at the end instead of saving config.

Also where i got the game recomended unzipping it to D drive..but my D drive is my cd-rom and i cant unzip it there.

System is Windows XP

and on a side note would it make a differnce that under the

LEGEND file in the folder it reads this.

MUSIC=ADLIB.MDI FM
SOUND=QUIET
SPEED=1
GAMEDATA=C:\DGATE\
PICDATA=C:\DGATE\
VOCDATA=C:\DGATE\
SAVEDATA=C:\DGATE\

Or so anything i cna do to change the sound=quiet? wuold that make the sound work?

Yes, look and you see you have the sound set to "quiet". Try

MUSIC=SBLASTER.MDI FM
SOUND=SBLASTER.DIG

Of course whether this works or not might depend on your sound setup. Also, DOS games under XP have nortoriously bad sound problems.
