rpgdot.com is where i frequently go to keep apprised of the latest elder scrolls IV: oblivion stuff...and by the way i'm much more of an rpg fan than i am an adventure man, but i still love the genre so maybe you all can spare sacrificing me for being a sacrilegious invader of your forums from time to time

The only non-adventure-centric game site I visit is Idle Thumbs.

I used to be a big fan of gamespy.com. Lately their stuff hasn't been that great though.

I'm a registered IGN Insider and a big fan of their site. Most of their reviews are very honest and objective, something that most major game sites lack today. Just steer clear of any reviews on their X-Box channel
I'll have to check out Idle Thumbs, though.

I am a compulsive Gamespot reader. I also check out Eurogamer from time to time, and that Idle Thumbs site too, but it hasn't got much content.

My favorite is gamespot. I share a lot of their opinions about the games they review, though there are some reviews on there that are just preposterous. My favorite reviewer is Greg Kassavin. He usually gets it right. I also like the show onthespot, and watch it weekly.
I like how IGN usually reviews a game a few days before anyone else does. I just don't like how inflated their scores are, especially sports games and the XBOX section. Sometimes I dunno if a game is really that good, or it's just them over zealous about it. I really hate gamespy. They are slower to review games, and their reviews are not that insightful. Oh and of course I like dlethumbs. But not for their content (which is the best if only it updates more than once a month ) but more for the people over there, and the forums.

Gamespy, the columns are funny as hell, the reviews are average and pretty consistant. Gamespot has terrible reviews, they randomly give scores, and are way too harsh on some games but not others. IGN, I don't think the reviewers can form sentences, let alone write anything intelligent.

Idle Thumbs is pretty cool - I've noticed a few of the regular AG troublemakers there
rpgdot is another site I frequently visit, along with http://www.just-rpg.com/ I would have included ign.com, but don't you have to pay to get the more detailed information?? |

IGN. Big minus points for them for making themselves to large parts a paysite. I really love their guides/walkthroughs, and adore their reviews. I just keep wanting to trash my monitor in a grumpy rage when one of their Insider hits shows up in Yahoo! search or google and I eagerly click... only to find myself stranded on a "Log in to view more content" page. Waah! Meanies.

Gamespot. I know many people dislike them, but I think their reviews are good. I especially like their video reviews and the on the spot feature and all that. They have personality.
Edit: Plus, I think their site design and functionality rocks compared to most other game sites. |

Adrenaline Vault. Very intelligent, well-written reviews. It's sad that lately the site is apparently struggling to survive.
