as far as i understand your post, i'm afraid i have to dissappoint you. there really arent any new truly great fmv games as far as i'm aware off (at least nothing main stream). im currently playing through the tex murphy games (released in the mid '90s) that were just released on gog.com. those, along with Gabriel Knight 2 Beast Within (1995) are i think the highlights of the genre. you are probably aware of those however. the days of fmv ended around 1998.
there is currently the Casebook series which has FMV but in terms of gameplay it is VERY limited. try the demo at:

the closest to being erotic a fmv game got that i played is phantasmagoria 2 where you see breasts for about 3 seconds. love/sex has sadly not been a big selling point in videogames over the years (only games i can think of are the leisure suit larry games). the phantasmagoria series is primarily known for its violence and gore however.

that's all i can offer you.

Two older erotic adventures are GAG (FMV + prerendered) and Blue Heat: The Case of the Cover Girl Murders (fully FMV). Both are hard to find or expensive, unfortunately.

If you want a challenging and top quality FMV game, then check out "Ripper".

Hardline is more of a shooter than adventure. FMV era games are well and truly gone sadly. There is no new FMV games like those you described . seemed like you prefer those action type FMV games.

Maybe you can try older fmv games like

A fork in the tale (1997)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uueoWgCB0uc

Angel Devoid : Face of the enemy (1996)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QeBvw9IhWCE

Psychic Detective (1995)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLKYePOo5Xo

Fox Hunt (1996)

if you are looking for erotic FMV titles , i imagine something like
Ghostly desires (1995) would be up your alley but good luck finding the game

Perhaps
voyeur (1994)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtT2BRFq7Nk

Voyeur II (1995)
http://www.interactivemovies.org/des...?code=voyeurii

Or maybe the infamous night trap

I do have a copy of Phantasmagoria 2 lying around--I should try the patches from SierraHelp to see if it will run in Vista or not.

Played the demo for A Fork in the Tale ages ago and remember it as a FMV Dragon's Lair style game with comedic voice-overs.
