Looking for an old PS2 game.
I think it was called Darkness, but I cant find it. I am pretty sure the first play scene is you trapped in a cage that you have to escape from. I think in the game you have a dog and have to stop the world being taken over by the darkness [black shadows].

Heart of Darkness, from the maker of Another World. It was a PC and PS1 game, not on PS2.

Apart from the Dog I thought it could have been Ico.
You don't start in a cage in Heart of Darkness. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Zm1X...eature=related -Intro

True, yet not only do you not have a dog in ICO, you don't have to stop the world being taken over by black shadows either. Maybe it's neither game?

Plenty of black shadows in ICO. But you most definately don't have a dog. I believe he's thinking of Heart of Darkness, which was a PS1 game and not PS2.

I think it was made by the same guys who made Another World and/or Flashback. I loved the game as well, I played through it myself when it was rather new. I still have the game.

Oh my days, I had completely forgot about this gem. I'm on a mission to resurface this game as soon as possible!
