We just finished KOTOR 2: The Sith Lords ... and we tried to be dark, oh how we tried! But, by the time we finished, our character still ended up being a goody-two-shoes-namby-pamby-little-cheer-spreading-git.

I think the problem was that the "dark" choices one gets in the game are often not really dark, just bratty and childish.

It's a shame when that happens. If a game is going to offer you the choices of both then it should do it properly rather than wimping out.

The NWN modules Return to Ravenloft and Ravenloft : Beyond the Gate allow you to achieve this. The final choice has an option considered so evil I instantly lost my Paladinhood when I chose it (and I'd been a right old goody-goody up to then) You can play through the whole thing making "evil" choices as all the quests are ambivalent (you'd do the same thing for noble or selfish means) or have specifically evil alternatives.
