he new Nintendo Wii is coming to stores shortly. So, my question is, are you getting it? ((Or if you're broke/saving like me...do you have any desire to get it?))

Nope, I haven't been a fan of Nintendo since the 8-bit system. It's just all too cute and fluffy for me.

Yep, I'm getting it the day it comes out, its so cheap its the price of like 2 Xbox 360 games. All the games on that system look great... Heres my most wanted list:
Red Steel Sonic Wild Fire Super Mario Galaxy The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Super Smash Bros. Brawl Metroid Prime 3: Corruption Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers Trauma Center: Second Opinion Wii Sports Elebits Project H.A.M.M.E.R. Wii Music Orchestra Excite Truck Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz Fire Emblem (working title) Animal Crossing (Working Title) Seriously good games on the horizon. Unlike the PS3 which only has a Half Life 2 rip off Resistance: Fall of Man & God of War rip off Heavenly Sword.

I'm definitely getting it when it's released.
I can't wait to play Rayman, Mario Galaxy and Zelda Twilight Princess.

One of the only reasons I love this is because if they port any games from the 360 or PS3 you know its going to be a totally different game because of the new controls.

Absolutely. I was bound to get it sooner or later because of the lure of the Virtual Console. (Later rather than sooner, as is still the case.) But it was the promise of a Super Mario game from the team that made Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat that sealed the deal. Those guys are amazing.

I agree with him. I used to own a Barbie Box and it only had one good game (Eternal Darkness). I used to be a nintendo fan, but they lost me with the N64.

I'll get one eventually, though I'm always too big a cheapskate to buy a console at launch. Even if it is going to be the cheapest new console.

I might get a Wii late this year or maybe next year, depending on available titles and price and such.

Not at the beginning at least. I just want to make sure it has enough 3rd party support before spending money on it.

''It's just all too cute and fluffy for me'' How the heck can a console be cute and fluffy?

Third-party support, cuteness or not, Nintendo has always made exceptional games. Anybody who says otherwise is going to hell where he/she/it will be raped viciously by Carrot Top.
What the hell does that even mean, it's just all too cute and fluffy?! Do you only play X-treme games?! Are you thirteen and ashamed of being seen as anything other than a paragon of machismo by the world at large?! WTF?! I hate you. I have never owned a Nintendo console (except the original Gameboy) and I will likely be buying this one at launch. I may even geek out and wait in line in the middle of the night launch day. |

Wii just aren't impressed. I mean the graphics look like what the xbox is doing now and i'm not sure about the stick thing catching on (yes yes, I know, there's a regular controller too).
Though, the price is right and there's a die hard nintendo following. You know, those guys who still love nintendo EVEN after buying a regular DS then having to buy it again as DS lite ##commence eyerolling## who will buy anything nintendo poops out. And what's this crap about not being able to not like Nintendo games? The world acts like if you do, then you'll be cursed for life. I'll admit it. I hate Zelda! I haven't liked it since the first time I picked up an NES controller when I was a wee lad, and I don't like him now. Mario? He aight. But I went the whole time owning a N64 without owning a game staring the fat plumber, and I was fine with it. What it comes down to is the games, and Nintendo just doesn't have anything i'm interested in. Though, i'm pretty sure it'll do better than Sony's money pit. |

Nope, it's different. First, PS fanboys aren't as hardcore as Nintendo ones, and most of them could live with the bigger system because it just sits on their shelf, they don't carry it around.
