You so deserve Carrot Top and, more importantly, Carrot Top deserves you.

Well I'm totally getting a Wii. Not the type to get it at launch date or anything (I at least want to wait to see how people like it at launch or whatever. I just don't have the money for risky purchases), but I'm totally getting it at some point. Is there a price confirmed yet or what?

Nintendo make the most playable games around. They concentrate on the gamplay, graphics are secondary unlike in the other console race (bunch of tech and graphic whores).

Even though the Gamecube wasn't a huge success it still contains some of the best games of the last generation.

Eternal Darkness
Resident Evil 4
Metriod Prime 1 & 2
Zelda - Wind Waker
Paper Mario

All classics.

Ninetendo like to innovate gamplay rather than just make the same game with better graphics a la Sony. I play my DS way more than my PSP these days.

Wii promises fun and a new way to play. PS3 promises a second mortgage to buy it and the same as before but with pritty graphics.

I fancy getting a Wii before a PS3 (price needs to drop)

Are you saying the quality of a game does not matter to you as much as whether it has pastel colors?

This thread is very painful. Nintendo make Cutsie games & Serious games, unlike Microsoft & Sony who made a million FPSs. If you get a Gamecube you dont have to get the so called kiddie games, there are plenty what you call ''serious'' games, Ikaruga, Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, Resident Evil, Resident Evil 4, Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, Star Wars Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron II, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Tales of Symphonia, F-Zero GX etc...

I love the cutsie cartoony games that Nintendo makes, because they're all good games, but I understand if its not your style, but you should judge the games and NOT the systems.

SakSquash, you need to shut your mouth and look at your previous posts. First you argue that Nintendo Wii games look like sh*t. Then you argue that GameCube (or very wittingly re-named BarbieBox) has only one good game. Then suddenly you show us pictures of games with bright colours and cartoon design. Three from the GameCube and two from the PS2.

What's your point?

It is called Carrot Top Fancy. He just has a very roundabout way of doing it.
Spoiler:
Ok, I think that is enough Carrot Top. It may have ceased to be funny a while ago, but I am easily amused.

It's called a change of specific topic you lameass. Look at any thread. It happens every time. First we were talking about opinion, then we were talking about general perception. You people seem to have a hard time telling the difference between the two.

Even the 3DO couldn't help but have a few good games.

But it's as far from "kiddy" as you can get. Hand the controls to a kid only if you want to see him suffer. This is an adult's game, which never "goes easy" on the player. It's a good game, no, a great game, and this has nothing to do with the characters walking in from a trashy kid's cartoon.

As to the accusation that the Gamecube is cute, darn right! My purple little box is so cute, with its little handle and its little game disks and its little cubey menu and its little boot-up sounds and its little GC logo. I love that adorable little orange model... ... WHAT DO YOU HAVE AGAINST CUTE?!!

Forget good games. Let's talk about great games.
Metroid Prime 2
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
Super Smash Bros. Melee
F-Zero GX
Pikmin
Resident Evil 4
Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
Animal Crossing
Super Monkey Ball

..and these are just the ones I own personally. There are still tons of games that look great which I want like Fire Emblem and Chibi Robo and Super Paper Mario and Twilight Princess and Ikaruga. I don't see how this is "a few".

In my humble opinion the GameCube is a helluva lot more interesting than the XBox as far as game selection goes.

And since when did the graphics mean anything, Sak? Considering the Wii will be roughly $200 to the 360's $400, of course the graphics technology isn't going to be as powerful. But that was never the point. Comparison shots between the Wii and the XBox don't help your point at all.

I'm just saying that it's supposed to be the Next Generation. I know the 360 and PS3 and revolutionary leaps over the last gen's games, but you can still tell the difference. Have fun paying $60 for games that look like first gen xbox games.

Graphics aren't the most important thing. But they're still important.

Nintendo aren't saying the Wii is a next-gen console, but new-gen.
