Default Worst name for a game character ever!
I just heard about a game, about a monkey, nothing wrong with that, right?
Not with his name.....

Who on earth is evil (or stupid) enough to call a monkey SPANKY!?!?
And its a KID game!
This makes Gilderoy Goodamate and Guybrush look like the best names ever!

Spanky the Monkey, and it was made by Megalong games. wow. I'm not sure what's scarier, that someone thought it up, or that Nintendo authorized it. yikes... :eek:

It's from Natsume actullay, Megalong is the site that reviewed it...
Natsume seems to have forgotten about this game...

heh, that's kinda funny.

i always thought Cloud was a god-awful name for a character. i'd rather have a monkey named Spanky than an anime guy named Cloud...

Cloud is just an example of translation idiocy. Some companies are just clueless and actually translate the character's names even though they aren't supposed to. You could do the same thing to English or any other language and wind up with stupid names too. For example, calling someone named Steve - "Crown" or Ken - "Handsome" or Dan - "Judge" would be an awful thing to do for a translation also. It pisses me off when they do that actually...

Bastich, I still can't forgive Capcom for calling Rockman Megman, Rock is a good name if your sister is Roll and your brother is Blues (Protoman)...

They can't give us the "it's been used for ages and everbody is used to it" excuse, Princess Peach was called Toadstool for about 10 years and now almost nobody remembers her old name....

PS. I thought Cloud was a cool name (haven't played the game though).
