Default Jack Thompson does it again....

Idle Thumbs tells it as it is...

Ctrl+Alt+Del is the first to make a joke about this new stunt...

Sigh, Jack, just give up, you are making a fool of yourself...

That's hilarious! Talk about "hoisted by your own petard". This is THE most stupid thing I've ever read!

He needs a sit down with a good psychologist to talk about his latent violent tendencies. I mean, if HE thinks THINKING about massacring an entire group of people you oppose means you'll do it, then I'm sure he's going to act it out for real sometime.

I recommend he gets himself an PS2 and play Ico for a bit to calm his nerves and come back in the morning.

Hmm, unlike the Thumbs article claims, I'm pretty damn sure it's supposed to be satiric and Thompson made it ultra-violent on purpose.

I think Rockstar should do it, though It'd be very easy to turn into something that points the blame away from video game makers. Actually, I think it does that already.

There's a decent chance of it being satirical, what with him titling it after A Modest Proposal. Of course we'd have to assume he's intelligent enough to make the connection, and didn't just do that to make it sound more literary or intellectual or whatever... Still even if it is satire, it's an astoundingly clumsy and ineloquent example of it... it's also unclear what the point he's making is...

Doesn't make any difference if it's satirical. A) It's badly written and B) it's bad satire that makes no real sense and actually works against his cause. It's like one of those internet arguments when someone totally loses the plot.

I am SO tempted to dig out my copy of The Games Factory and knock this little beauty out. Who'll buy a copy for, say £1 + P&P, just so that I can fulfil the terms of the deal?

:edit: this would be fairly easy to do as a lame 2D arcade game. Mind you, I could then credit Mr Thompson...

A piece of fresh, unused toilet paper? That's kind of weak.

No it isn't. Toilet paper doesn't stay fresh and unused for long.

Good god. I cannot believe this.

It's a real tragedy to see an actually neccessary and possibly fruitful public discussion about the subject perverted into an unintelligible, laughable mess, by a type-A borderline personality such as Thompson.

Somebody take him down. stop this guy.

Well now Jack Thompson is trying to get Gabe and Tycho arrested, because donating money to charity is a horrible thing to do.
