Looks ok to me, but hype-o-meter cold still show more than just three first pictures... Also in newest screenshots, the game name could still be link to game's page, like before and few errors has occured too (Screenshots won't show larger...), but so far looks nice.
oh yeah, In the release date list, the font is way too large. On the positive note: "First/Third person perspective" information is VERY, VERY welcome. Before it has been really hard to find. Last edited by MoonBird; 09-13-2007 at 08:31 AM. |

It's so Web 2.0! I'd say, your new design es even better than sex... with Marek!
Really, looks great. I would have given the news a bit more space on the front page, just 4 news item headlines is not that much. I like the idea to have an editorial blog. Das Jan |

I seem to be the only one with a wide screen that doesn't like the new wide layout. I have to make my window bigger for it... I never do anything full screen. I think it's a waste of screen estate to maximize windows, especially on a widescreen, because the wide screen makes it so easy to put two windows next to each other and use them both at the same time.
But except for the website being wider, I like what I've seen of it so far. It's clearer and more easily readable. I like the layout of the home page, and the new Adventure gamers blog. I am very curious what the space that is reserved for awesomeness will contain in the future. And I love the random database pick! That is a nice feature. This is one of my absolute favourite sites. I love coming here, and the new site makes it even easier to browse around here. I will get used to the larger Firefox window, I'm sure. It doesn't cover my whole screen, so it's ok |

Other than that, I have no complaints. (Well, there are some things that feel strange, but I think that's just a matter of getting used to it.)

I like it, very "Web 2.0", the update of the game database is awesome, if it starts working. Don't like the black borders on the side, I can hardly see the dark grey gradient.

tsa and Trumgottist: I guess I understand what you mean, but how on earth do you surf the web in general? I'm just curious. Most sites are 1024 pixels wide nowadays, and only few have relative size widths or 800 pixels wide. So doesn't that mean you have to horizontally scroll all the time? Sounds like you're totally impairing your browser experience even though you don't really have to.
Also DasJan, your endorsement of the design is both encouraging and ... disturbing. |

I was going to say how much I liked the new design and layout. I was going to say how you've packed a lot in and still maintained a very clear design. I was going to say that I like the colour scheme. I was going to say that I much prefer the narrower forums because the shorter length of the text lines makes the posts easier to read. I was going to say that the game pages are absolutely excellent. I was going to thank you all for a big improvement and congratulate you on a job well done.
Then I noticed that So Blonde still isn't in the Hype-o-meter and so I won't bother.

I like your new design. You managed to squeese a lot of info. into the main page and still it is readable and easy to navigate.
One fault though: The Hype-o-meter has honorable mentions stuck in between place 3 and 4, it's confusing and not logical as these are the games aspiring for a place among the ten and subsequently should be placed _after_ number 10. Right? |

I have to admit that this is one of the best site changes i've seen. It didn't change much, and that's why it is still recognizable And some features added nicely.

I guess I've just been lucky with the sites I visit frequently. I did a quick check, and all my frequently visited sites (except for the new AG, which most likely will remain in that category despite this) fit fine in my normal window size.
Maybe this is a bit much to ask for, but a preference setting to get narrower posts in the forum would be much appreciated. I don't mind the scrolling as much as the wideness of the text. The column width in the features I've looked at is all good, and I'll happily scroll or enlarge my window for those pages to see the secondary content.

The new design looks absolutely brialliant.
I love the way things are changing, first the Shack goes through a total re-design and now AG is even better than before.

If there are Firefox users who're not fond of the narrow forums (as is my case), they can paste the following in their userContent.css and remember why they bought an expensive high-res widescreen monitor :
Code:
@-moz-document url-prefix(http://www.adventuregamers.com/forums/) { #container { width: 95% !important; } #footer_menu { width: 95% !important; padding: 0px 20px !important; } #innercontainer { width: 95% !important; } #innercontainer > img { width: 100%; } #header_left { position: absolute !important; } #header_right { width: 100% !important; } #header_menu{ margin-left: 210px !important; } #menu_first { width: auto !important; } #innercontainer > div[align="center"] > div > div > div:last-child > div { float: left !important; } }

Don't like it at all. Change is bad. Next thing you now we'll have to use the keyboard to browse the page...
But I guess I'll survive.

Why, would it make a difference either way?
Ok, I take it back, it's not all bad. I do like the new game profiles, or will once all the info is filled in (system reqs., links, etc.).

Yes, it would. The sentence "Change is bad." is an obviously ludicrous generalisation, to the point where it would be an excellent statement to make sarcastically. Also, the sentence "Next thing you now we'll have to use the keyboard to browse the page..." is demonstrative of the slippery slope fallacy, and is also so ludicrous that it makes a good sarcastic remark.
Regarding your not liking the site, however, that is a perfectly valid opinion to have.

In that case I was either seriously sarcastic or sarcastically serious. One or the other.
