Default Announcement: Mod changes galore!

Just when you thought it was safe to go out at night, along comes the announcement sure to strike terror into the hearts of even the hardiest of souls. That's right, we're arming two new people with the official AG "license to pan".

It's my pleasure to introduce Melanie68 and Kurufinwe as new forum moderators. Their temperaments (at least, the ones they show publicly) and ongoing positive contributions to the forums made each a no-brainer in deciding who would best fill the openings. Which is exactly my kind of decision making!

What openings, you say? Well, yes, there's some bad news to go with the good. Unfortunately, we have some goodbyes to say as well. Both AFGNCAAP and VoodooFX are stepping aside as mods. We're incredibly thankful to both for all their efforts, and it's sad to see them go. But the demands of the real world of course take priority, so we wish them all the best going forward.

These departures are a big blow, but I'm confident the forums won't skip a beat with such qualified people to take over. I'd just ask that you show both Melanie and Kurufinwe due respect in their new roles.

Woo! Fresh meat!

Ahem... where's my coffee?

Yeah yeah, welcome, new mods. And best wishes to Voodoo and that guy with the abbreviated name I never could remember.

As I was saying... where's my coffee?

Silly rabbit. They're mods, not interns.

Also, welcome, new people.

Interns are supposed to make the coffee. New mods just have to serve it.

Cream and sugar for me, please.

You know, I don't want to mess up your sleep patterns. I'll send it over in the morning.

Thanks everyone for the welcome too!

Yay, another step on my path to ABSOLUTE POWER!

So, erm... Be afraid, people.

And, Melanie, it's really great to have you on board. Of course, it's a shame that a nice person like you will have to become twisted, bitter and jaded like the rest of us, but I guess sacrifices are sometimes necessary for the good of the site.

That's because no one ever taught me how to use the coffee machine...

I had one before I came here. Why do you think they picked me?

Thanks everyone for the welcomes.

Giligan, I came so close to accidentally editing your post instead of quoting it. DOH! Those damn buttons are too close together.

No fair. I didn't get any laughing gas. I had to be awake during the entire procedure.

Not so good, eh? I trust that you'll try to be careful.....

Here's to remembering Mel and Kurufinwe as they once were.
