Default Downtime and forum upgrade

Sorry about the extended downtime, all. What was supposed to be a nice quick upgrade to 3.6.1 turned into a bizarre chain of events that ended up requiring that the database server (and therefore the http server) be turned off for an hour or so. In any event, we're now running the newest vBulletin, so there are some new features available (like multi-quote).

Also, I bumped everyone up to 500 PMs max. Few enough people actually have ~100 PMs that there's really no reason not to.

I was wondering why the coloured bars on my Inbox seemed so small. Cheers tor that tabacco. I've tried to archive PMs when my Inbox got close to full but ocasional flurries of PMs have caught me out once or twice. Now I should be able to archive on a regular basis without worrying.

What is this new multi-quote feature you mentioned?

Oh, so that's what the little blue arrow in the quotes does. Nice.

Woohoo! Quote trackback is there too!

The only thing that needs doing now is the adjustment of the new buttons to the forum colour scheme. The blue among all our lovely khaki, grey and olive (Desert, Snow and Forest? I have a feeling this could be a forum on camouflage. ) looks odd.

You realise you are my hero now? My inbox had been full for ages.

Awesome thanks as always Doug. So what new subtle features should we be looking for in this latest and greatest update?

By the way, for those who haven't ntoiced, you can now double-click on the flaming torches on the main page to mark a forum read.

Multi-Quote is indeed cool, and the expanded PM storage is a God-send! All hail the great Tabacco!

One small caveat: Since the upgrade, I can still read the forum on my OS 9.2.2-running, Explorer 5.1.6-using trusty old 233Mhz iMac, but I can no longer log in to post from that machine. So the latest upgrade has proven to be the kick in the pants I needed to make me start using OS X and my iBook.

The easy access to colored text is nice too, but that may have been available to everyone besides Luddites like me for some time now.

Woah, this is great. Now when I mark a forum read it doesn't throw me away from it, to that page showing only a few of the forums (a subcategory or whatever).

I notice that after a forum is marked as read, it won't show any threads as being new, despite the fact that they are new. How would I go about marking a forum as unread?

That's what the marking it as read does. If you do it as someone has made a new post, it'll mark that as read too. I don't think you can mark it as unread.

So, now every post that's new will never show up as new?
